I bought this modem to replace the rental costs associated with Spectrum Cable. It is not a router (no extra ports on the back) and does not include wifi, I have an Apple Airport Express for that. The modem is strictly a modem and brings the internet into the house. It does it's job well and can support pretty fast speeds and a family of 5 constantly on the internet including phones, streaming devices, and gaming all at the same time.

This cable modem was highly recommended by a store salesperson. I am glad he did because it was a snap to setup.

Bought this modem because we were switching to cable internet service. Was easy to hook up, worked right out of the box, no problems yet, lovin' it!

All of a sudden overnight my 200M download speeds with XFinity/Comcast came to a creeping halt, down to 1% of what I should be getting, around 2M. I don't use the Xfinity modem/router but my own. Mine had an orange blinking light so I checked for outages, and none, so rebooted everything and no luck. Called Xfinity, which by the way you have to schedule a call back, and talked to an out of the country support person who told me my prior Arris cable modem was no longer supported and needed to buy a new cable modem. Happened overnight with no warning. Xfinity has a web site to check your hardware and sure enough my 3 year old cable modem wasn't supported anymore so a trip to my local Best Buy let me fix this problem with my purchase. Best Buy guy said this happens all the time with Internet providers. Only issue is it's not plug and play with Xfinity (and probably other providers), they need to know the make and model to enter it into their system and remove the prior modem. Works like a champ now.

For the price this was one of the least expensive 16 channel modems on sale, either regular or sale priced. The unit sets up like any other modem (screw in the coaxial, call your provider, register the serial number, plug in). There's a power button on this which makes resetting a breeze, and unfortunately with any modem, sometimes you have to reset them. No issues so far and I'm getting the speeds I pay for so it's a winner!

Our modem was knocked out by lightning and needed to be replaced. This one is doing the job nicely and saves us the monthly rental fee. We also installed a surge suppressor on the cable line as well so hopefully this will continue to give us problem free internet access for many years.

This was an easy set. Worked really well with my modem. Have had zero interference. Would deff recommend.

We bought this device even though we were concerned about the COVID-19 pandemic, and fearing we might need outside tech support. However, we are thrilled with the ease of installation, and sorry that we didn’t replace our previous device sooner. We had a great experience, and recommend this product to whomever will listen ... with no reservations!
