Superfast modem

Netgear Cable modem

Instructions were simple, just needed to call my cable company some information re teh modem, they were able to see it. Was up and running in less than 5 minutes. Very happy with teh product.

Hold off if you use TWC

Here's the thing, great modem but if you have Time Warner Cable, hold off on purchasing till Netgear addresses a known issue with this modem and TWC service. Basically, a TWC tech said that Netgear is working on addressing an issue that prevents the modem from reaching the full 300MB per second download speed. The firmware version that is the issue is V1.01.04. I would recommend this modem but only after Netgear provides a firmware update.

Excellent Modem

I have the COX Ultimate 300mbps down / 30 mbps up, and I have around 10 -- 12 devices running simultaniously. Streaming video, gaming, surfing, and VoIP. Never lags, never drops. Easy to hook up. Just make sure you use the included cable (or other cat 6 cable pinned out for all 4 pairs of wires) or you won't realize full speeds and throughput.

At first I was nervous about returning my rented cable modem box to Time Warner after so many years of being dependent on that box. However, switching to using the Netgear - Docsis 3.0 Cable Modem has been seamless and I'm glad I made switch and am now saving money by not having to pay on the monthly rental of the Time Warner box. I highly recommend this product.

Unlocked My Internet Speeds
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded my Xfinity internet from 75 Mbps to 150 Mbps and used to have an Arris SB6121 modem which allows me to have download speeds up to 172 Mbps. Well, the most I got was 140 Mbps at non-peak hours and under 120 Mbps at peak hours. When I switched to Netgear's CM500 my internet speeds jumped to 240 Mbps non-peak hours and 200+ Mbps at peak hours. The CM500 totally unlocked my internet speeds! Very satisfied.

EXCELLENT MODEM
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced the Cable Company Modem with this modem and it is relatively cheap compared to cable company rental. I would also recommend replacing the router for the best experience, This modem will not work with an outdated router. I replaced my old router with "NIGHTHAWK AX 6000". This router is pricey but provided a terrific expereince when combined with this modem
