I decided to get my own modem to save the $11 monthly charge from Comcast. I wrote down a few modems with good customer reviews on Amazon. Got to BestBuy, and this is the only one among what I wrote down that BestBuy carries. It's a great price. The only thing is, my internet connection got knocked out quite regularly. Called the customer service at Netgear on a Sunday and waited almost an hour to get the tech support on the line. After a hard rebooting the knock outs have been significantly reduced, but it still happens from time to time.

happy i am not paying the cable company 10 dollars a month any more. OMG! that is a savings of 120.00 a year that i have been paying for years and years.

i replaced a previous combo from netgear, which i was happy with for the first couple years. i went with separate units this time and i am happy with them so far and have not had any problems.

Had to replace my modem when Xfinity told me my previous was obsolete causing connection problems. This was easy to get hooked up and working.

Needed a new cable modem and so far this one works great out of the box. Had to contact Cox to get it placed on their network.

This is a great option to pair with a high speed dual or triple band router. Very happy with it. I have xfinity connected, running about 100mbps.

Pretty good router. Bought as a quick replacement for my old router that was seriously outdated. Simple to install and functions as it should.

Much better than my last one. Easy set up and use.

I have not been using this modem long enough to comment on its reliability, but it was easy to set up and I am getting great download speeds using it with xfinity.

The modem work as soon as it was installed. The download speed is as fast as the ISP specified. The product performed as I expected.

So far so good! Easy to setup, doesn't disconnect at all. Works great for Xfinity, WOW, etc. Links up great with a Netgear router.

Good unit to compliment the router I already have. Unit meets providers DOS3.0 operation and acquires very fast. Very satisfied with its operation.

Once installed, even though I'm paying for 50mb speed, I'm actually getting 62mb, as confirmed first by Time Warner, but also independently via speedtest.net.

Fast Web connectivity with this cable modem. Downstream data speeds are fast. Supports streaming and surfing. The quality of service is excellent.

After reading about modems, I installed this in place of my Motorola Docsis 3.0 modem - this modem coupled with my new Blackhawk Netgear router are smoking hot!
