But I contacted NETGEAR and they helped me to set it up. It took a while but the customer service person was awesome. Besides all that trouble I am happy with this modem.

Excellent modem for DSL

I found out that my router was limiting my speeds, so after hooking everything back up it is working better than before. This modem replaced the exact same model, so a new surge protector is in order also. It does what it says it is supposed to, without any trouble or drama.

I purchased this for my mom and she has been very pleased. Working for one of the large telecommunications companies for 17 yrs we used to use another manufacturer but had so many repeat problems that they made the decision to swap to Netgear as there provider for there better modems and the customers never seemed to have any issues with these modems.
