I bought this router to work with the netgear wireless router that I bought 6 months ago, when I hooked up the dsl router iit didn't work. I called my internet provider and they helped me hook up the dsl router without the wireless router. But when I tried to hook run my wireless router through the new router it wouldn't work at all. I called Netgear and they said that they couldn't help me setup my new router through my wireless NETGEAR router until I paid them a tech to make everything run correctly. I will never buy netgear again and I recommend that no one EVER buys Netgear again, unless you have money to spend on tech support that they should provide for free on THEIR OWN products.

    Slow, but broke very fast.

When my very old Westell DSL that came free with the service started cutting out intermittently, I purchased this unit as a replacement. I think the Westell was easily 3 years old, but the connection was noticeably faster with it, and also had wifi & three outputs, where this unit does not have wifi & just one output. Since I went with the cheapest DSL modem I could find, I would've been fine with all of those shortcomings if it lasted little bit longer. I used it for barely a year when it died. I've been back on the ancient Westell modem for last couple of months before I find a replacement. I'm definitely avoiding Netgear this time around.

    Installation Problems

Set up CD did not Auto Run, and after going thru "My cmptr." to get it started, it did not follow as per the paper instructions. Tried calling the support, automatic phone tree sucked, and eventually I got cut off. I disconnected everything, threw it in the bag, and will return it to Best Buy tomorrow. Big waste of time. Would not recommend buying Netgear products.

    Weak router

While my ATT DSL internet service often leaves much to be desired, this router is weak at best which is a disappointment considering I swore by Netgear products until now. I am on my second router - first one lasted a year and got wonky. We are at a year on this one and it has to be powered down and backup a couple times a day. Will be replacing it with a non-Netgear router today.

Like there products but on the customer Servise side if you have problems not good better off find the answers yourself or you can pay them to help you ,have to return, only reason getting another one is under warranty but I guess have to have something even if it don't last

Unit was unusable on arrival. Would light up but nothing more. Tried to revive it through tech support but to no avail.
