    Works Well

I upgraded to the DOCSIS 3.1 variant of the Nighthawk so that I can future proof my internet setup; you can get up to 2 Gbps through link aggregation. I have Cox Gigablast (1 Gbps) and the CM1200 was on their list of approved modems. I had no issues setting up the modem; all I had to do was call Cox and give them the info for the modem. It works well. Be aware that if you disconnect the modem from a router or pc while the modem is still powered on, it will not recognize the new device that you connect it to. You need to disconnect the modem from the router or pc, power cycle (unplug or turn-off) the modem, plug the Ethernet cable into the new device, and then turn on the modem. This will get your device re-connected to the internet.

Compatible with the next gen modem and network technology this router should be good and relevant for some years to come. I find that it works faster than the renter Comcast router I was using. The only issue I had was that the coax cable I was using that came with the original Comcast router didn’t screw on very well and I kept losing service with just hand tightening. It made me think there was something wrong with the router then I checked and realized what was the problem. I then used a wrench to tighten it about 10 inch-pounds and from there I no longer had an issue. So just keep in mind that for whatever reason it’s possible that the original Comcast cable connectors need to be fastened a bit more securely on these modems. Otherwise this has been great and it just works well! Great modem!

    Fast, Stable, Mediacom Compatible

I have Mediacom for service with the 1 Gbps service. Since replacing their modem with my own I get much more stable speeds and connection. Average down ranges between 650 Mbps (Peak), and 875 Mbps (Off Peak), and 50 Mbps Up and often 60 to 70 Mbps up which is more than what I should get. I paired this with the ASUS AX5400 (AX82U), which gives me fast speeds all over my home and even 60 yards away out by my Chicken Coop even. The only con I will say is this modem while it has 4 ports on the rear, only 1 is active and can be used.

Had power outage that fried a previous modem that was giving us great signal in the house. Spectrum gave us a unit from them that was absolutely horrible. Very poor speeds and dropped internet all the time. Went ahead and got this and wow, what a difference. Games online no longer drop or lag like crazy. No more internet drops and speeds are just overall faster. Did have to contact Spectrum to get it activated but that was the only difficult part.

I was having issues with my Motorola modem I had with my Spectrum service. I know you would think it's quick to blame Spectrum right away. When I spoke with Spectrum they were recommending upgrading as they were discontinuing service to the previous DOCSIS. This model was super easy to swap out in my system and took under 5 minutes for Spectrum to switch over to this modem, no issues at all. Benefits now are solid coverage, fast and reliable. Before with all of our online meetings and streaming we had to reset our system almost daily, not anymore it works consistently. Well worth the upgrade and peace of mind my internet stays steady here.

Excellent modem for Xfinity internet service

This modem can handle the fastest residential service Xfinity offers. Setup was fast and simple using the Xfinity costumer account. There are 4 Ethernet terminals , one for router, three others to connect to devices not on you router network. This router runs cool, compared to the Arris Motorola it replaced. The Arris constantly overheated and shut down. This Netgear modem connected seamlessly with my Netgear R6400 router. Very happy with the purchase.

Good and sturdy product. Works like a charm. Web interface is simple and easy to use and provides good technical information. There is not a lot of configuration needed, which is good. One confusing thing is that while there are 4 ethernet ports, only one can be used. A second one could be 'pair up' for a faster datalink, but that requires deeper knowledge. The other 2 ports are not usable, which is confusing to the user. The manufacturer should have just removed these non-usable ports to avoid confusion.

I finally purchased the NetGear Nighthawk modem to replace the inferior Spectrum cable modem. I basically have a Google smart home with 25 plus smart devices and the Spectrum equipment just could handle it! I was able to connect the Nighthawk to my Google mesh wifi and everything worked flawlessly! Before making the jump we would have internet and wifi outages every day! Also, I noticed a big increase in the download and upload speeds! I would highly recommend this modem to anyone!

Was very easy to setup just follow the instructions... I used in conjunction with the Orbi mesh system and even outside of my house i still get speeds of 200DL and 15 UL which i never had before. There are issues with the 4 ports in the back not working which it true only #1 and #2 work #3 and #4 will work if you contact your internet provider but I do believe that it will be extra cost. I did however return this unit to get the one that had phone line as I needed for my alarm system

Have had this for three days. Zero issues with getting it online with Spectrum. Spectrum users: This modem is not listed in their online list of approved devices which is dated 7/29/19. BUT if you call their internet tech support, you’ll discover that it is an approved device and will work with their DOCSIS 3.1 protocol and iPv6. And it does. It also works just fine with Google WiFi, including iPv6. I read a review here where this product did not, but that’s simply just not the case. I have 4 Google WiFi points and my network hasn’t missed a lick. My Spectrum home service is 200Mbs and it’s delivering 197-210Mbps as measured through both SpeedTest and the Google WiFi app. Am not a spring chicken to WiFi...have been using it since it first hit the home market. Best cable modem I’ve seen yet. It also has an extended upstream power setting in its Web Access Manager to help move traffic past clutter on the line. We don’t use internet voice so that missing feature from this product is not a player for me. Am looking forward to using the link aggregation function.

I've only had it for a few weeks so these are my initial experiences with the Netgear cable modem. I purchased this along with the TPlink AC1750. My cable provider is Spectrum. Setup was easy and the performance has been consistent even with the power outages we have endured lately. I'm getting very close to my rated internet speeds (400mbps) when connected directly to the modem through ethernet. Long story short...so far I'm I am happy with the modem.

I would definitely recommend this. I was having lag with the modem that was included from the internet provider, and ever since I upgraded I haven't experienced any issues at all, I'm getting well over what my plan speed is supposed to provide. The setup was as breeze as well.

Easy to setup and cannot complain on the DOCSIS 3.1 modem technology. This ultra-fast modem delivers existing DOCSIS 3.0 data through 32 downstream channels and eight upstream channels. The Nighthawk is a future-proof replacement for the rental modem supplied by your cable ISP. I was using the Panoramic Wifi Router Modem from Cox and did not satisfy my need. Purchasing this modem ensured my home network to be fast and reliable.

The Netgear CM1200-100NAS high speed modem was easy to setup with my Comcast account with a 15 minute phone call. It has worked flawlessly for about the last month. It connected flawlessly with my Asus wireless router. Download speeds are up 50% over my old Zoom. I would buy again.

I bought this modem 4-25-21 and today's date is 5-31-23. The ENTIRE time, we've had almost NO issues. Internet has been steady with internet only being affected by weather, etc. However, 5-28-23 we started to have problems with our internet where it would slow down to almost a screeching halt, and then shut off for a couple hours. Turns out, that this modem was outdated and therefore no longer reliable to be used as our modem, and checking Netgear websites for firmware/software update, there's absolutely none. The modem lasted for 2 years with no main concerns, and even the small ones, not even worth mentioning. I highly recommend it, but keep in mind that there's no software updates for it, so your internet company may tell you it's too outdated to be used. I still recommend getting it. But I'd also recommend going for the CM 2000-100NAS since it's only 50 bucks more and it's more up-to-date than this one is.
