By replacing my five year old cable modem with this new cable modem, my internet speed bumped from 90 Mbps to 275 Mbps immediately with the same 300 Mbps service. My family is very pleasantly surprised by this unit's awesome speed. We are finally getting the internet speeds we've been paying for all these years.

Cable internet with 1.2gbps but only able to measure 950mbps… could be due to other reasons but disappointed. Easy to use plug and play. It’s cheap but if you can afford the upgraded model go up. I don’t think this can actually hit 1gbps continuously. But value for money is decent.

[Employee of bestbuy] Easy setup with my new router too, both netgear. Took me about 45 minutes to set them up. Instructions were thorough on setting up with spectrum witb the MAC ID.

I haven't needed to replace my modem for over 10+ years. I was rocking a Motorola Surfboard SB612, it was great; no issues. Although it was time to update my equipment! With this having DOCSIS 3.1 I will be set for years & not need to replace gear for a long time. I predict this lasting another 10+ years.

After returning a different brand/model of cable modem (couldn't get it to connect to the internet w/ Cox), I purchased this, more expensive model. Was much easier to set up and connect to the internet.

Bought this when I bought my house to go with my new internet through spectrum. Provided really fast internet but spectrum would kick it off the service every couple days and would have to reset it.

It’s been three months and the performance has been great. The admin webpage allows you to easily set up and fine tune the device.

So far it's been a good modem. I have experienced slight dips in speeds, and disconnect/reconnects, but I'm not sure if that's the modem or my carrier. Honestly, the carrier is the more likely cause. Otherwise, it handles the internet list just fine. Great piece of equipment with the right price.

Sped up my internet quite significantly. I purchased a new router a year ago and noticed a big difference. But was amazed at how much faster it got again with a better Modem. I recommend for anyone experiencing slow internet. The router/modem combos the internet companies supply are garbage.

My old box suddenly stopped working and I realized it was VERY old. Spectrum was coming to troubleshoot, so I ran out to buy this replacement. They set it up for me and all is good!

This is a great product. However it may be an over kill for current standards since as far as I know no ISP provides internet speeds higher than 1GB (I may be wrong). Also there are 4 ports at the back of which you can only use one currently. Based on my answer from technical support the other three are for future use.

Works as described. My old Docsis 3.0 surfboard had gone from 100 mg down to 27ish. Called my local provider (Carolina Mtn Cablevision who are awesome BTW), got it provisioned with MAC address and was back on 100 mg in 3 minutes! its been 4 weeks and ive never had to reboot it.

While not exactly what I had wished for, the sales person indicated that this is what I needed. However with this lack of understanding I was left with having to purchase a WIFI product since I was replacing my XFinity Modem that was WIFI capable. Still this is a very good fit for my needs.

Our last modem started overheating so we decided it was time to upgrade our modem and router, after doing my research this was by far the best modem to go with our new nighthawk router. The setup was quick and easy and modem has worked great with our new router. No problems with any heat build up.

Nice unit and works great with MIDCO. Very reasonable price with ease of setup installation. Will be necessary with new MIDCO system happening in the near future.

I had another Netgear Product that Xfinity had on their website as compatible with the 1 G/S service. It wasn't. I had a tech come out and try to figure out what was wrong. Nada. Finally, I just ran to Best Buy and got this one. Plugged it in, and wala! Internet and television were working.

Owned for 2 years and still working as well as the first day purchased. A couple times a year I have to reboot, normally.

This is a good modem. Works well with Cox gigablast in OKlahoma. It’s not 5 star rating since ports 2,3,&4 are basically useless unless you are into and know what port aggregation is. It will not act like a switch, like I thought it would. Shame on me for not knowing more before buying. The documentation on the box and in the product description is less than useful. Netgear customer support will help but they are slow. The forum is best to get info or help. I would recommend the single port modem to anyone and save yourself $40 and the aggrevation of the 4 port device Modem works very well when paired with a Google Nest router and point.
