Basically a plug and play set up. Had to replace a combined modem router damaged by lightning. This was easy to set up. Purchased separate mesh router this time.

hello, Seems like a great product, but i did not buy it. Read specs about it after the wife bought it , and brought it home. We had our modem die, heard a pop in the DLS modem unit and off went the internet. She bought this on her own, thinking this was to solve the issue, but we have DSL and not cable connection. Best buy took the return back, and she said they were very nice and helpful, but did not carry / or sell sell DSL modems. She did not ask for assistance, for she was in a very hurry. If you dont know about something, just ask one of their staff, the will answer your questions and inform you. I am not a teckie, and, dont go there that often, but when I have been in the store, they have answered my questions. if we moved into current decade, seems this cable modem would be a way to go. got to have the service first to support it.

This modem has been one of the greatest additions to the house. With working from home and have teenagers and there gaming events. This was much needed.

Powerful, fast, reliable... I dont know what else to say read the specs. I will continue to purchase Netgear for years to come. Personally I paired this with an R8000 Nighthawk router and gigablast internet and wow!

I’m very impressed with the speeds I’m getting off this modem. I paired it with the eero mesh wireless routers and all my WiFi devices download Apps almost instantly. My PlayStation downloads take less than half the time as they were averaging before. Definitely a must buy!

Great purchase! Getting much faster speed and less larency than previously seen with my old modem.

Worked as advertised. Took awhile to set up due to Xfinity’s inability to connect it. Much faster than old Xfinity modem.

old cm docsis 3.0 fried in February after 7 years. Bought this, went gig blast on cox. Fast speeds. Then I upgraded my mesh/orbi a month later. Great speeds and coverage.

Working fine as fast as advertise. but it would be great if i could connect two ethnernet port from modem instead of connect to router and then from router to my pc.

Needed a new modem afrer returning spectrum theirs. This worked better and did not have any issues with random disconnects while working.

Best router i have ever used so far it has many useful features and the speed is incredible, all of my device reach top speed, i cant complain best investment i have done recently I definitely recommend it to anyone that wants to enjoy uninterrupted wifi !

I did not want to rent modems anymore so I bought this one. I have 1GB internet and this gets me very close to it. 940 mbps. Not sure if it is the modem, cable provider, or house that is keeping me from the Gig speed. Also, note that I have a router connected.

Love this router and trust the Netgear brand immensely. They offer client support for one year after purchase. Their products last and this router offers great speed. In my case it works on Spectrum and is on the list of approved routers.

Is this more expensive than your current rental box from your internet provider? In the long run no, the rental fees add up over time and the box from the provider can't handle the speeds your paying for! Ditch them and switch to a 3.1, you won't regret it

Excellent modem! I bought this to replace an older Nether and I’m glad I did. This modem has given me zero issues!

I loved the speed but ended up returning it back to best buy for the reason I found out that it doesn’t support VOIP at the same time if you’re using WiFi router. Either I have to have Vonage or I have my google mesh router, I choose the router.

Prior to my purchase, I had frequent WiFi outages which I fixed by unplugging the old modem for 15 seconds. I have had NONE since I bought the Nighthawk modem.

This is great and if you need multiple connections to it it would have been preferable I returned it because the unit with a single port is cheaper. That being said the performance is the same and they rock.

My old router/modem died overnight and had to replace it with a new one. I already had google wi-fi, so I only needed the modem. It definitely improved my internet speed.
