This does its job, which is to provide 1000Mbs internet to my house. I had the cable guy from Comcast help me install it because I wasn't getting the full speed at first. Once we troubleshooted for a little while we were averaging in the 850 to 950 Mbs range which was close enough for me, and a lot faster than I had with my previous service. Once it was setup I pretty much never have to mess with it and it just works. So I am pleased so long as it keeps the fast internet going.

much bigger than my DOCSIS 3.0 Netgear, taller, so if you hide your modem worth noting. Activated and running in minutes, stable and fast. Broacomm chipset runs far cooler than older versions.

Just replaced an 8 year old modem that Charter Spectrum gave me to use. I also paired this up with the new Netgear Nighthawk AX8 router. My last router was the Netgear Nighthawk AC3200, so still great. I was getting 100 mbps from Charter but I knew I could do better. Charter just upped their speeds in my area to 400 mbps so I got this modem and it is really pushing my speeds though consistently. I love it and I love the design of it as well. Definitely recommend this modem if your ISP is giving you speeds over 100 mbps. You may be certainly missing out if you are using the ISP's modem! This was a breeze to set up and I feel like I future proofed myself quite a bit in the process.

It works good and saves me money on my internet bill. It also has made my speeds go up and the internet is not dropping like it was with the cable modem from my internet provider.

Excellent and Reliable Modem So Far!

I have been using this modem for more than a month so far and it has been incredibly reliable! As a note, I used this modem with Xfinity as my ISP and used it along with a Linksys router. This is a modem ONLY so you will need a router if you want Wi-Fi and the security that comes with a router. I don't recommend plugging devices into the modem unless it's a router since there are no firewalls or security measures that will block malicious traffic from coming in. Configuration doesn't take too long. Once you plug the Coax cable in, the modem will take about 5-10 minutes to find a signal from your ISP. The lights on the side of the modem are a good indication that everything is working correctly. Once the modem finds the signal, plug in your router to the modem, make any necessary configurations, and Wi-Fi should now be broadcasted. In terms of speeds, I am getting faster speeds than I am supposed to get when hardwired and sometimes on Wi-Fi if there is available bandwidth. Overall, this is a wonderful replacement for your ISP's provided modem/router. Just make sure you have a separate router since this modem doesn't provide any routing or Wi-Fi, or proper security measures.

I bought this mode, to be used with Comcast Xfinity. After a little plug and play and a quick phone call to Comcast I was up and running in no time. I picked this model over the one similar to it because it has 4 Ethernet out ports on the back of it and hardwiring some devices is much better and faster than wireless. I use this product in conjunction to the Google WIFI and I get 800+ mbps no problem. I could get more, but I only pay for the 800. Point is it is fast and reliable. I have had other models that I am constantly having to reset, but not with this one.

We have Comcast/Xfinity and upgraded from their up to 300 mbps limited data package to their up to 1000 mbps unlimited data package. Our old modem and router could not support the faster speeds and I didn’t want to bother with researching new modems/routers, so we went with their all-in-one Gateway device (rented). We had issues from day one with the internet going out multiple times per week, sometimes for just a few minutes, sometimes longer. We also could no longer get a good signal in our basement or in one area on the top floor. We had never had this issue with our old Netgear modem & router. Comcast was never able to fix it and even told us nothing was wrong. I finally had enough and bought this modem along with the NETGEAR - Orbi AC2200 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System (3-pack) - White. Success!! No issues with the internet going out and we have great signal strength in every area of our house!

Solid docsis 3.1 modem. Price matched Amazon price, it will pay for itself in a year by not renting a modem from MEDIACOM cable. Paired with the Eero pro 6 mesh routers, I'm getting over 600 Mbps over wifi throughout my house and over a Gig hardwired. Almost 2 months of use and haven't had to reset the modem... I was resetting weekly when the rented modem would lose internet connection. Highly recommended!

Works great and easy setup. My kids steam a ton and my wife and I do as well. My kids can be streaming while we are watching 4K content in the living room with no problems. Have not had any issues at all. I have only had to reset it a couple of times in the year I have owned it. I have not tested the speed but have not had any lag on content or devices since I got this. The description is a bit confusing. It makes it seem like it has two ports but it doesn’t. Only one of them will work at a time. You can only add more hardwired devices with a router or a port switch.

My old Modem/Router was proving unreliable. Every little thing would cause it to fault out. I found myself having to reboot it several times a week. This new Modem sets up easily, just like any other Modem, but that's where the similarities end. With 32 upstream and 8 downstream channels, I am guaranteed the fastest speeds. Nothing stops it; it has performed flawlessly since I installed it. I paired mine up with the Nighthawk AX12 12-Stream AX6000 Wi-Fi 6 Router. An unstoppable combination.

This is a great router once Netgear Armor is disabled! If you purchase this router and have intermittent internet drops, try disabling Netgear Armor in the Nighthawk App. That resolved all of my connection issues and improved my ping time. I can easily get the 600 Mbps internet speed I pay for from 20-30 feet away from the router on AC and Wifi 6 devices. I have about 20 devices connected on either 2.4GHz and 5GHz with no issues. My home isn't large enough for a mesh system, so this router works great for my conditions.
