I'd just finished buying a new TV and sound bar so I was cringing every time the bill dropped but it's going away quick. The moral of the story is that I had no intention of putting anything else on my BB card at the moment. And then my existing cable modem died. I checked Spectrum's site, found this at the higher end of the price point and decided to pull the trigger. Speeds up to 250k just came into my area and I wanted to get as much as I could so this modem went home with me. I use this with Google Wifi as my house is prone to dead zones (older) and presto! My 100MB download is now up to 454 on average. I'm not a hardcore tech guy; some of the stuff is way over my head. The only problem I had with setup is it *requires* a computer in the house with a RJ45 connection and I didn't have one I have all newer Macs. I had to spend 40 min on the phone with Netgear Tech Support to get initialized on their side and another 20 with Spectrum to get this modem put on my line. That was probably the only downside to all of this. After that, smooth sailing. I hate that I spent way more than I wanted to, but it was ultimately worth it for me to not go cheap for once

A major improvement from my previous 3.0 modem. Since I had already installed a MESH system, I did not need the wireless feature of my old modem either. The response is a faster and reliable system throughout my home. One quick call to the cable company and I was up and running in minutes.

    Xfinity compatible modem works great

Works extremely well with Xfinity cable service. Easy to connect and work with ASUS router. Cable installer commented on my choice and using the better grade equipment. Our service is excellent: very good picture quality, high speed internet service and consistent quality. Also small size let's us store it easily. The numbers do not make sense to pay a monthly rental fee for a modem. This is paid off in less than one year.

Modem was great! Although I don't need it anymore and has become just an really expensive paper weight ever since I switched from Xfinity to Sonic. Before switching to Sonic though, the modem ran well and was easy to set up. Had no issues with it.

Was getting random disconnects on WOW with previous Arris SB8200. Saw many posts online of similar issues with the SB8200 and bad firmware so I decided to try a different brand of modem as they all seemed to recommend. Upgraded my service from 500 Mbps to 1 Gbs at the same time. Happy to say I am getting about 940 Mbps at the cable modem Ethernet port and no more random disconnects. Very happy.

So, it's fast and reliable- those should be the most important things to consider, but in our case they aren't. We needed compliance with a cloud based network, the availability of ports to connect a computer, a VOIP phone, and a wireless router. It was nearly impossible to suit all those requirements, and the Nighthawk is the ONLY one on the long list from our cloud based contract that works. I bought 3 others before this one- should not have wasted my time. So worth the money. Oh- and set-up was a breeze.

Replaced Motorola with Netgear after a discussion with a fellow IT professional. Works great with Comcast, no issues with boot files, docsis 3.1 etc. The modem is a bit larger than previous modems, however front light density is perfect, not too bright, not too dark. A little on the pricey side..

Just too many people on-line at once, so we decided to upgrade the incoming to 300Mb/sec. The old modem was not capable of handling the speed. I knew I preferred Netgear since the stuff works and holds up longer than I need it to, so it was more a matter of finding what my ISP could support. They liked this selection - it's one of their favored ones. I've had this for a year now and have had no problems once set up.

After upgrading my Internet service to 1gb speed. Optimum supply me with a generic modem that was a nightmare! Lots network hang ups, speeds not as advertised etc. After lots of research and few alternatives I decided risk it and pull the trigger on this amazing modem. Not only was it compatible with optimum, it was very easy to set up! Bye bye network hang ups!

Needed to get away from a dual modem/router system. This modem has worked great for my modest current internet speed. But it will continue to work if I need to increase my speed in the future. The setup was fairly straight forward. I did need my internet provider's assistance in setting it up (but this was easily done via online chat). It is a larger unit, but the design is sleek and I don't mind it being visible.

Reliable service from a brand you can trust. The modem consistently keeps up with our 960Mbps down speeds and has no issues with longevity. We had an Arris unit before that we reliably had to restart every few days because it could not keep a good handle on our Cox Communications service. In six months, we haven’t had a single issue with this unit.
