    This our third upgrade Netgear in six/seven years. As technology changes we have increased our modem strength from 2.5 to 3.1. The associate at Best Buy walked us through the verity of brands but our history with Netgear and it’s excellent quality had us sold. We would recommend this product for it durability and dependability.

    I was having issues with my internet and decided to start with upgrading my modem as that was the least expensive first step. That wasn't the issue but I feel like I am better prepared if I upgrade my service in the future.

    The price was good for this cable modem but I bought it thinking the additional ports on the back would let me connect my other networked gear, they do not. Read the specs carefully as this only has one port that you will then need to connect a router to for additional ones.
