The NETGEAR - Nighthawk 32 x 8 DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem works as expected, which is a good thing as there's very little documentation in the box.

While the product is being sold as 4 GE ports, it really doesn't work as none of those extra ports can be used for extending the LAN which makes it completely unusable. Very disappointed with buying the product

Nice product, but setup was slow. Usually the Nighthawk app works, but was fighting the setup with my nighthawk router. Overall, these products are top of the line!

It’s great, however, I had trouble with my internet provider so I decided to return this. You only have 1 LAN to use, the others are for business IPs and port aggreation.

Save money and stop paying your service provider. I have Comcast and Easy to set up with there online tool. Unless you are using gig speed there are other versions to chose from

Defective in Under a Year (a MODEM)

I bought this in January and it wasn’t working anymore by October of the same year. It was a good modem while it lasted, I’ve never had a modem quit working on me, let alone in under a year. I was so certain it was not the modem I had my ISP come out and check all the wires and connections to make sure. I was thinking it was on their end and their servers keep kicking my internet off or something like that. It just didn’t make any sense. Then I did some research and found out that plenty of people were having problems with this modem, IN UNDER A YEAR. IT’S A MODEM BRUH. I was so convinced there wasn’t something wrong with the modem (we just moved into the house and it was working without issue before) that I just ended up figuring it out because I didn’t know what else it could even be. I used to think Netgear made fine stuff, but man am I sticking with Arris after this. I’ll say it again, it’s a modem. They’ve been getting made for awhile, and this is one of the highest end modems!! And with Orbi having fake mesh wifi but still advertised as just the same mesh wifi as something like Eero? This was the final steak in the coffin for me, at least for their modem and router equipment. I’ve used Netgear switches and I think they’re fine and have never caused me issues. I know a lot about technology so if you do too and are reading this review I am trying to warn you not to by this. When I replaced my modem with Arris I have had zero problems, when I was dropping internet every hour or so before, and waiting for about 5 separate boot cycles before it would FINALLY detect internet.

Great modem with fast fast fast data transfer. Great if you are doing both gaming and streaming to multiple devices at once. Only weakness is limited parent control.

This Modem is capable of handling all our internet needs on its own...and that's a lot considering the amount of devices in use in a fairly large house.

I purchased this model as it was on Spectrums approved list of Modems. However upon setting it up for multiple devices and connections I was able to find this even though it has 4 ethernet ports. Only 1 Ethernet Port can be used at a time. I was able to find other forums that supported this test. The workaround to this was having to purchase another router that have multiple ethernet ports. Nighthawk -> Router -> All other devices plugged into Router. Defeats the purpose of buying this product. If you're looking to save money you can purchase a CM1000, which has 1 ethernet port which you can use to connect a router and do what I did.

Works like a charm, just note if you want to utilize multiple ethernet ports, contact your isp and discuss if they can send another signal to the extra ports

Upgraded from modem/router combo unit due to the multiple users at home during quarantine. Just what the doctor ordered when combined with a separate router.

Improvement over CM1000 purchased a few years back. The CM1200 produces faster wifi and picture quality of streaming video better. Old one destroyed in lightning storm.
