Just upgraded my Comcast internet to 1 gig, and our old modem wasn’t cable of delivering what we needed. All my switches in the house are NETGEAR, and we’ve had zero issues with them. So we decided to go with the CM1200 because it is capable of multi Gig speeds for future upgrades. Installation and set up were super easy. Very happy with our purchase.

I bought this because my old router was not producing enough throughout. I am getting a larger bandwidth, but I had to reset the router several times. I also had to reconnect my repeater several times. It has not disconnected from my routers. I would say this is a good modem. I didn’t want the modem and router integrated into one device and this serves this purpose.

I wanted a Modem-Router Combo with the latest DOCSIS 3.1 and Wi-Fi 6 technology. The NIGHTHAWK CAX80 met the technical requirements. Installing the CAX80 wasn't as easy as advertised. I could not 'self activate' thru the Web. The Nighthawk Smartphone App can be used to setup WiFi, but does not setup Modem. My cable company is Spectrum. I've had my internet account with them (including their predecessor Time-Warner and RoadRunner) for more than 20 years. Their customer service is excellent--once you get a live person. They performed diagnostics and said the modem was working. However, I could not connect to the internet. They gave me a direct number to Netgear, and I called for assistance. Within minutes my modem-router was working perfectly. They are remarkably competent. The Wi-Fi signal is stronger and more constant without fluctuation than my older modem-router. No pauses or buffering when watching streaming video movies. The Netgear advertising is accurate and reliable. So is the performance. I am well pleased and highly recommend this router.

I was kind of shocked how easy it was to setup. Just follow the prompts. Navigating around the user interface took a few to get used to, but once you did, it is smooth sailing. Had this over a month now and have not had any trouble with it. It just keeps on going without any problems. I am glad I went with NETGEAR. This product was solid and worth the price.

I currently use one of these routers and they are very reliable and fast. I recently purchased a second home and didn't want to pay monthly modem fees so thought this would be a great service. However, Cox in my new area uses fiber optic cable to achieve 1GB upload/download speeds so I had to use their unique modem vs a cable modem.

Super high speed output with this device. With my 1GB plan I am getting 1.2 GB/S output and 40 upload with XFINITY. I bought CAT 7 cables to go with it and did the link aggregation feature and have never had internet speeds that are so flawless. I have 25 devices connected to my router with three gaming systems and it never lags the internet.

Easy installation and fast performed. work with Gigabit very well

I brought this modem because of the positive reviews and because I my good experiences with Netgear products. Plus I like to upgrade my modems every few years. Have not had any problems with this modem so far(no rebooting constantly compared to my previous modem). Quality product. Set up was easy as well. Pricey but it does what I brought it for.

Comcast upgraded our internet to 400mbps download so we needed a better modem. Decided to future proof a bit and get something for the long haul. Was super easy to set up and immediately got the faster speeds. I’m sure I’m not using all the potential bells and whistles but the speed is consistent and fast which is what I’d expect.

This modem provides higher speeds than our actual COX internet service allows... but it screams and is reliable and ensures we are ready for increased speed needs. We game (PS5 & PS4, computers) and streams services to multiple televisions in our home of 6 members... this reliably fulfills all our needs without any problems.

the design is nice easy set up. and just always works

This cable modem functions extremely well. The ability to aggregate the two links together for theoretical 2gig through put is a nice touch, and great for redundancy. It would be nice if the diagnostics were a little more in depth, but i believe that part is mostly due to the cable company's firmware, rather than the modem itself.

I have no complaints with this modem. It is easy to set up and the internal menu features are intuitive. I have had zero issues with connectivity and customizing the security settings is a breeze.

I was debating on getting this or something different. The customer service was great I gave a price range and they helped so it wouldn’t exceed. I ended up getting this since they were very honest for what I needed it for very good item my connection was always getting cut off when I was gaming. This helped out a lot I have some lag but that’s because of my provider very minimal to not very noticeable. If multiple people are on at the same time it won’t drop in performance. It does the job for me at least for the reasons I needed it for.

I use this with my google nest mesh router. Super fast. Both kids playing their online gaming while I’m streaming Netflix and browsing online. I see nothing slowing down at all. And I don’t have to hear the kids complain about laaaaag. I used to hear that all the time. So I had to man up and upgrade. Completely satisfied.

Upgraded to this from the CM600 (which is also a great modem) to take advantage of my ISP's gig speed internet. Speed is spot on with what is advertised and setup was a breeze. Once it was all hooked up, I called my ISP and gave them the MAC address and in just a few minutes I had blazing fast internet.

Easy to install and lives up to it's specs delivering 456 mbs from my Xfinity cable internet subscription. Very few instances of buffering in 4k video streaming.
