    Only the main (upper) port works... The rest are for display I am getting a replacement from NETGEAR, plus I had to pay for shipping NOT RECOMMENDED , SAVE YOUR MONEY STICK WITH THE CHEAPER VERSION CM-1000

    Bought this modem to replace an older one and didn't work properly. Computer would connect to internet, but nothing else. Then when other devices would get connected to internet, computer would disconnect. Spent 6 hours on phone with ISP and Netgear and no resolution. I hooked old one back up and I am going to return this piece of junk.

    Will not connext to Xfinity. Stopped working after installed by Best Buy. Tech support unable to get it to reboot and reconnect

    Read the reviews before buying and thought my experience will be different, but it wasn’t. The equipment worked perfectly for 2 months and then the nightmare started. Called Xfinity several times for troubleshooting, but no successful. Please avoid this product.

    Bought it brand new, we went through two weeks of thinking something was wrong with our routers because this was lighting up like it was supposed to. We finally called the cable company and realized this was not working. I would not recommend!

    I spent more time on the phone with customer service than the device actually worked. Customer support at netgear is horrible. Buy at your own risk (if it’s defected, you’re out the cost of the unit and your time)

    I've had this modem for 8 months and now firmware is not working with signal from cable provider. Cable provider is telling me the mfr is not responding to their inquiries. Now have to buy another brand.

    Netgear - Nighthawk Cable Modem

    After about a year the router would hang and then next to be powered down and rebooted. This only has a year warranty so you have buy another modem. So disappointed and waste of money.

    5 hrs of my life with support I'll never get back!

    Neither Netgear support or Comcast support to get this working. A Netgear Supervisor finally told me to return it after I wasted more than 5 hours with both phone supports! I recommend an Arris modem!

    I can't seem to get this modem to provision IP addresses to hard wired devices. This is after having to replacing a defective one after 2 weeks of use.

    had it for a week then everyday at the same time it would not sync up. cable company came out said it was modem. hook old modem back up no issue. reinstalled this one same issue

    I have already replaced it. I had to restart it all the time. Linking out to another router, it made it difficlt to cascade the network.

      Hi Pred,

      We need to have stand alone modems for our customer base that prefers to have a separate modem and router. If you want a modem router combination we would suggest looking at the CAX80 to see if it is compatible with your service.

    Only one gigabyte port works at a time and spectrum will not run updates on it. Don’t waste your time or money. Spectrums new modem works just fine. I returned it.

    Does provide service we need. This unit does not support a hard wire phone as adviced by store clerk. Very un happy. Can not use this product.

    Unfortunately, this modem worked great for the 2 week return window, then started hanging on sites and dropping packets. The tantrums come and go, but if I had to start all over, it would be a Arris.
