Modem works great once it is setup. Setup required powering the modem and router off and on several times but was not too difficult. You would think that since they are both Netgear nighthawk that they would communicate from the start without cycling power.

Have not had any issues with signal drops (not sure if related), and speeds seem to have improved. For example when I view my tv via an app, the movies and/or shows are loading fine and playing almost seamlessly. Kinda mad I waited so long as I was renting from the internet provider (big dummy).

Knew how to hook one of these modems up. Thanks to a young lady in customer service at Midcontinent, I was able to get it registered with them quickly and was back in business. Works excellent!

I have used this modem for the past 3 yesrs with an asus rt-ax82u. Both of these device claimed to process multi gig speed. I just upgraded xfinity to 1.2 gbps and could not process those speeds. I called xfinity and they called netgear for me. I was confrenced in with them and was told that this specific modem cannot process over 800mbps with xfinity and that i would need to purchase the nighthawk cm3000 to reach the speeds of my service. Needless to say, i downgraded my service back to 800mbps and everything is good. I do really like this modem and it was worth the money.

I bought this because my previous modem got very touchy. If it was bumped in any way, it would shut off the internet. So, somewhat an impulse purchase, but im very happy with this!

one word fast I just got this modem wow easy to set up

Eliminated $10 rental fee from provider, this modem is modem/wifi router combo so I eliminated my wifi router and a cord and this thing is FAST! Of course I had to reset all our devices network but once that was done all was done. It's just one day but so far, I LOVE THIS device. Bravo Netgear

Recent purchased to avoid using the monthly charged crappy one from my ISP. However, it seems I may have received a faulty one has, every now and again it continues boot looping. Netgear support was very helpful is resolving the issue the first time and if it happens again i may exchange for a new one in hopes of a better experience. However, when the device works, it works great and i see significantly better speeds than with the original one from my ISP. Hoping it sorts itself out!

We purchased a Netgear Modem and Router on the advice of our internet company! We absolutely love. We had nothing but trouble until we installed the Netgear. The staff at the Branson Best buy is the best.

I have owned 2 of this. The work great at the start. A few months latter they give out. The internet speed drops. It needs constant restarts.

Going strong 3 years later. This is my main modem and removed the charter one

You will need this modem for Cox Gigablast internet and it's the best modem you can buy!!

Excellent cable modem! has channels for separating data. works on speeds over 1 Gig which I don't have
