I had the 200 mini before this one and it was okay. But this one is awesome. Does everything the 200 does but is more than twice as fast and gives out Wi-Fi to the place you need in your house. I went from resetting my internet everyday just to get internet access back to my room. Now since I set this powerline up I haven't touched the reset button.

Simple setup, stuff works, 1 reset once in 1 month.. Does not occupy much space at the power outlet.. Hope it lasts a while.. Planning on buying one more for the basement..

I bought this product in order to try and extend wireless to some dead spots in my house. If I had the DSL modem upstairs my downstairs smart TV had issues connecting to the router. If I had the modem downstairs then my wireless printer seemed to have connection issues. With the NETGEAR - Powerline 500 my connection issues are resolved

I didnt have to move my modem, or get a big booster. internet is fast and netflix works clear in the back bedroom. we have netgear AC1900 in the front of house and this 100 ft upstairs in back, for a boost. now momma and the kids can take their tablets anywhere with no slow signal. wireing in an old house works great.

This set of devices is so much better than a simple network extender. Your performance will be better, period.

I bought this primarily to stop my son from complaining about his xbox lagging. Once installed, all lagging issues disappeared, I had better wifi on my ipad. Very happy overall, easy to install. unlike a lot of products I bought in order to have internet access, this works tirelessly with no tweaking required.

The range on the netgear xwn5001 was less than 10ft. I had to use the xwn5001 with the samsung bd-e5400 as the xav5201 would not work with the netgear wndr3700 router. What I ended up to make it work is to connect the netgear wndr3700 router hardwired to the netgear xav5201 and place the primary netgear xwn5001 2ft from the wireless samsung bd-e5400 and hardwired the netgear xav5201 to the netgear router wndr3700. If finally worked. I live in as 22ft x 24ft , one floor, wood frame home. I am also planing to upgrade from 12gbit to 25gibite thru cox cable.

I used this kit to successfully link my clients detached tiki bar that is 50ft away from exterior wall of their house using this powerline kit and got reliable transfer speeds for using iPad, laptops & smart phones. Super easy to install, name the new wifi access point & set the encryption.

We bought this hoping to achieve greater signal strength and were disappointed; only marginal improvement has been noted.

This has worked great for me. I needed a way to get wifi when I'm out in the yard but had heard a lot of bad reviews about straight wireless range extenders. I thought I'd take a chance on using the power line to add more range and it was a good bet. It was also easy to set up.
