Was plug in get the network up and running with no problem

When wires are not there and can not be installed you usually were out of luck. However, now with the PowerLine Product Line from Netgear you have many innovative and affordable options.

unfortunately, this didn't work for me since the area I needed the further connection for was initialliy too far from the router to begin with, especially with an older house. even with this as a lan line connection, the signal was in red the entire time saying it should be closer together to the router... well, that's not an option. I was better off with an wifi range extender, i pick up a 100% signal strength and it's been working perfectly. This may be the go-to answer for people with a shorter distance needed.

Did what we expected, based on the reviews we researched. This is the best option to expand connections to other parts of building.

Using this unit for Netflix streaming. It works great.

I used this in wifi dead spots in my house. Connect one of my kid's laptops and a TV to this system. Much fast than wifi. My son no longer complains about lag when playing his first person shooter games.

The powerline adapter works well and is very easy to set up. My only concern is its vulnerability to power line surges, and the fact that strip surge protectors cannot be used with this type of equipment.

This item is great, cut the long wires out. If you have wifi problems and are into gaming, get this! Easy to set up.

I have heard these are great devices, for me it is hard to say. I have a home built in the 70's and the electrical wiring has some aluminum....don't know if this was the cause for them not working.

I was very impressed on ease of setup, but not impressed with the speeds- I am getting around 35/Mbps they are advertised up to 500/Mbps.

this is a pretty interesting concept... to use your electrical wiring to extend your network. all you do is plug in your router to one side and plug that into the outlet. then you plug the other part to an outlet far off and hook an ethernet cable from that plug to whatever you want. i wanted a complete wireless solution so this product couldn't do that for me.

Was using these to connect a device from one room to another direclty to router. It's useful, but I had returned product. I didn't see much difference from using a wifi extender.

I purchased the Powerline 500 Nano Ethernet Adapter Kit because I needed to get ethernet to my new receive which was in a part of our house that didn't have ethernet cable run. I didn't want to go through the hassle of trying to fish wires through my walls so I purchased the ethernet adapter kit. So far everything is working good and I have not had any problems. Signal strength is good and I haven't had any issues with lost signal.

WOW! Far exceeded my expectations. This is a must buy product if you are in need of extending the range of your internet connection but are skeptical of using a wireless range extender.
