    Have to Reset Daily

Bought this unit about 6 months ago so I cannot return it. When it works, it does boost my connection speed and movies on Netflix do not constantly keep reloading. However, the problem is that I have to reset the units everyday for some unknown reason. This involves pushing the small button on the Extended attached to my Comcast Router/Modem and then running to my bedroom while the light is flashing moving my heavy dresser out from the wall which has my TV and Sony Blu-Ray player on it and the second Extender connected into my Blu-Ray player. Next, you need to push in a small inset button on the side of the second Extender to sync with the first Extender unit. This involves using a paperclip and trying several times to get it synced. What a pain. Called NetGear they advised they couldn't troubleshoot the issue because every house is different. My Modem/Router is only 30 feet from my Blu-Ray player!! The NetGear rep. did say that perhaps the problem was that my TV and Blu-Ray player and Analog Comcast device are plugged into a power strip in the same outlet and the second extender. He advised I plug those items in somewhere else but the only other outlets are across the room and I must cross doorways to access. Cables on the floor or up the wall would be an eyesore!!!

We have a large 4100 sq ft home. The router is in our bed room our media room is down stairs on the other side of the house. Even with a router extender the signal would come in an out specially while watching a great movie. Not any more since I got this Ethernet adapter its been great no more rebooting no more drop signal and it's been working fine. Money well spent I should of bought this instead of the router extender which was a waste of money.

Had slow internet speed in a far corner of the house that I want to convert to a home office. This solved the problem. Had read online about the need to be on the same circuit breaker but that didn't turn out to be an issue. I'm so impressed I'm writing this review 10 minutes after install in the new connection.

Worked like a champ for my sister as a Christmas gift. Now thinking about expanding this network to other rooms, to which I think it can do so.

Wanted to stream Netflix to basement with a finished ceiling. Wifi connection was spotty. Looked into running Ethernet from router in office on main floor to basement. Too costly. I was recommended this form our IT guy at work. It works great. Connection is constant and fast. No problems so far.

Direct connect to internet from anywhere w/o wire

Extend internet to other areas of the house without any wiring. Just hook 1 adapter to an outlet by the modem/router, connect 1 end of the ethernet cable to the adapter and the other end to the modem/router. The second adapter is for hooking up a device (computer, smart tv etc) in other area of the house where you want be connected to the internet.

Bought 2 adapter kits. Have them hooked up to PS3 and PS4 gaming systems in the house. Tested connected via wifi and then via the Netgear Powerline adapter and the data speed doubled when using the Netgear Powerline adapter. Plan on connecting a hub to Netgear Powerline adapter to allow for more connections.

    Do NOT Purchase for XBOX1!

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Purchased this product based on recommendation from Best Buy staff and this was a horrible experience! Couldn't get XBOX1 to accept the new WIFI extension after 4 hours of exhaustive troubleshooting and setup. Netgear support was the worst! Call center in India, couldn't understand their rep and they were laser-focused on selling me a firewall when this is not required on my secure (and already firewall-protected) network. After I refused the Netgear firewall purchase, Netgear wasn't willing to assist at all. Xbox and Best Buy weren't able to assist either. Save yourself time, aggravation, and money if you are looking to extend your Wi-Fi network, with this product, for Xbox use.

This is the perfect solution for needing an Ethernet connection in a different part of the house. Works better than my wifi ever did in my office.

    Weak Proruct

Instructions are practically nonexistent, just very basic, the product itself wouldn't work because, according to the booklet =, I have them place too far away from each other. The adapters are one the first floor and second floor not even 20 feet away from each other. Would not recommend this product.
