It was really fast to install. I knew it would be a bit slower than gigabit Ethernet but it saved me from having to go under my house and install an Ethernet cable or having the Internet company come out and move my router to a different place in my house that was less convenient for a balanced wireless configuration.

I bought this product to connect to an older generation smart TV that did not have wifi capabilities built in. My Router was on the complete opposite side of the house so using this was a simple fix to get my TV up and running with internet capabilities.

    "Impossible Problem" FINALLY Solved

The wireless network in my apartment unit was incredibly slow and totally unreliable, sometimes couldn't even connect within 20 feet through only a hollow-core wood door within direct line of site of an N-600 router. Apparently too much interference from metal stud walls and other obstacles. I would have paid 4 times the cost for this device. For 2 years IT technicians came to my apartment, for several hours each time, trying different devices, more powerful routers, etc. and every time they left in failure: zero improvement. Then a technician suggested we try this device since he's seen it work elsewhere. I bought it, he installed it and it completely solved my problem that techs couldn't solve for 2 years.

This is a great solution to connect your wired devices via wi-fi. This works with any wired network device and don't let anyone tell you any different. I use this for my Lorex DVR even though the Best Buy guy tried to tell me it had to be Lorex comparable. I used to be an IT guy so I knew better.

If I hadn't bought this pair of adapters, my expensive Netgear Nighthawk router would have been returned, because it just couldn't connect with the TV on its own. A Los Angeles rabbi I was interviewing told me about these adapters; I'd never heard of them. He lives in a huge house, I live in an extremely long two-bedroom apartment. I was beyond frustrated but once I plugged in these suckers, it was instant SUCCESS. I wish I didn't need them but I'm glad they exist because I do. And since it's work-related -- I'm a writer -- it's also a legitimate tax deduction. If your router's not cutting it, get these adapters. Your life will be happy again. They're super easy to install and work immediately. Love.

If you cannot run an Ethernet cable between two points, this is a great alternative. It uses the powerlines in your home to distribute Ethernet / Internet to any outlet in the house. Plug polarity must be the same with both modules. Also, if you have more than one breaker box this may not work.

I use it with my slingbox 350 and Directv on-demand feature. Both require an internet connection and I get too much lag with the wireless option. This combo works great for less than $200!

I wanted to have internet in a second room without running a ethernet cable from one room to another. This solved my problem. I check my connection speed periodically and I have found no loss of speed using the Netgear Powerline. I've already recommended this to family and friends.

I have a home built in 1920 and on the second floor, all the outlets are two-prong. This is one of the few items available that are compatible with two-prong homes to extend your internet via power line. It works day in and day out with heavy use. Yes, it does get warm to the touch so I do worry a little and hope it does not burn my house down someday. Nonetheless, I have fast internet where I need it!

This was purchased in order to hook up a VOIP phone in my home office, which is on a different level than the router. Simple plug-n-play setup and operation. The phone works perfectly. I even paralleled my desktop from the phone, so it truly is like my home office is on a wired network.

Saved me over $100! Directv would have been happy to charge me 100 for each tv to have access to ONDemand...instead one of these in each room and nothing to worry about! YES!

I was able to connect my wired blue ray player/ home theater system to the rest of my home network. This product is very easy to set up, the only thing that might be an issue for some is that it takes up outlet space. I suggest buying a surge protector extension cord/ outlet.

I have been through very bad times using Wifi inside my home. For a couple of years, the signal had many ups and downs depending on the room. With this device I was able to put a Wifi transmitter in a perfect position, and connect to a ethernet port of my router located in a far room of the house. Although the bandwidth that was enabled wasn't the full potential of my Internet package allows me, it solved 95% of my problems. Then after receiving many bad reports from my family about the Wifi problems, now I'm having peace...

The adapter can be a bit finicky at times depending on how and where you have it plugged in, but for the most part I've gotten solid connections with my xbox. The latency doesn't seem to be anything extreme either.

Excellent product just needs to have a wall socket exclusively to itself or it will affect signal strength and bandwidth

This thing really helped me a lot because even with thin walls, I could not get a strong wireless connection to my PC and also my PS4 when I closed my room doors. After installing this, I could use my devices with ease and not worry about connecting to the internet!

Have a home from 1810 and walls are thick. Hard to get good wi fi thru house. This inexpensive small piece is across the house and boosts the wi fi to our smart tv. No more buffering on streaming movies.

This solved a problem that I was having with connecting my DVR to the internet and my router was over 100’ away. I didn’t want to run a designated line and the DVR didn’t have wireless capabilities. Wonderful invention
