It’s amazing. More so, that my son has stopped complaining about weak WiFi signals. We just connected both ends to available power outlets, then connected one end to the router. It worked like a charm and the signal is very strong.

    Good Extender

This extender uses the wiring in your house to improve the range of your WiFi. It requires a permanent hookup to your main router which takes up a limited port. Setup was easy and it appears to work OK, but this is not a mesh network that I will probably upgrade to in the future.

I like the power line. It uses your home electrical network to provide you with not only wi-fi, but an extra Ethernet outlet in that specific room. My smart TV is downstairs and with the Wi-FI, i sometimes get lags. This solves the problem as the speed and reliability has increased dramatically.

Purchased this because wifi signal was having difficulty reaching the Family Room in a one end of a 1-story Ranch style home despite having the router centered. This was likely due to obstructing walls. If I am close to my router, over WiFi (2.4 or 5Ghz) I can max out my speed at 90Mbps. In the room I was trying to extend to, max I've seen is 12Mbps, but sometimes even less than this. Chromecast would hang constantly. This device was simple plug-and-play. I connected the router-side to the wall outlet (I used a flat-plug extension cord, not surge protector, so I can hide the device under a sofa and put the sofa against the wall). I connected the other device to a free plug directly into the wall of the Family Room. In the Family Room I had a desktop connected to this HomePlug via Ethernet, and initially the speeds were a disappointing 12-15 Mbps. Despite not having much electrical activity in the house. I immediately performed a firmware update, and after reboot the computer via Ethernet was getting the same 90Mbps. Other devices connected via wifi in the family room were now connecting to this HomePlug device, and were reaching 88-89Mbps on speedtests. The device barely slows down if there's a lot of electrical activity (microwave, washer/dryer, dishwasher), I've seen it dip down to 75 Mbps, but still plenty fast.

These work great the problem is they don’t last. The one we use is only plugged in and used once a week and yet we still only get a couple years out of it. But while it’s working it is a great device and I highly recommend it.

I was looking for a way to expanding my WiFi service in the house. I live in larger farm house and the installation kills my WiFi. Being able to use the wall outlet with this device enable me to save money long cabling or tearing up my house. Easy to use setup and go. So simple.

I purchased this product t o increase wifi coverage to areas of my house where signal was very weak. This was an easy setup and excellent signal coverage was achieved in a matter of 15 minutes. Cost was reasonable.

This is my third go-round with powerline products. They never live up to advertised speeds and I understand there are several variables that can impact its operation. Having said that, they work ok, and where I wanted a direct connection instead of a wi-fi connection, they performed in that capacity. Not great, not bad. This latest version had more problems than previous versions. Connection would drop randomly (lose sync) and speeds at time were well below advertised and noticeably slow forcing me to do a hard reset This was using the same outlets as the previous version so I would not attribute it to that. I returned as I finally decided to do a direct ethernet connection from a network distribution box. If I was not capable of doing this I would have kept.

This product is the best solution for getting internet from a distance of 80' and 2 floors. Simple to set up, plug the sending unit in wall socket close to wifi, hook up an eithernet cable. place receiver in wall socket near the tv and hook up an eithernet cable to tv. Perfect streaming for the tv and the unit acts as a wifi so i am able to be on my laptap at the same time the tv is on. Could not be happier.

Works flawlessly in my detached garage. I had been considering running a cable all the way from the router in my house, but this is a lot easier and I didn't have to dig a ditch.

Will be able to offer more opinion after using it for longer period. So far it seems to be doing what we bought it for. Any delays may be due to internet itself, so difficult to tell. The signal is going through a metal wall, so it seems to be worth every penny so far.

If you need a simple WiFi extender this is it. All you need to is plug the base into a power outlet and then plug the WiFi extender into another outlet in your home and you are done. I would recommend renaming there network and changing the password
