Bought this extender to replace a TPLink unit that was about 2 years old and dropping signal on my laptop. The Netgear is easy to set up and work right out of the box. No more signal dropping issues.

My son’s room was a dead spot for WiFi. This device has helped a lot. He rarely get kicked off his games and gets much better connection.

I was having problems getting my wireless router to cover the entire house. I tried wireless extenders (wireless to wireless two-hop), but the performance was not good enough to support music and video streaming without the more than occasional hiccups. By switching to power line networking I now get the bandwidth I need in all parts of my home.

Our house is long with the router at one end. We put this in our bedroom, and 'poof' awesome signal!

my security camera was spotty at best. this unit appears to have solved the problem caused by the wire mesh in the stucco. now i need something similar to get my Iris hub signal to devises outdoors.

This is a cheap and superior alternative to whole home wifi. If you have any reservations forget them. This works great connecting my multi floor home with spotty wifi coverage even with wireless AC.

The setup seemed like it should be easy after reading the manual. Unfortunately they do not tell you that you must first log into the device with your browser before you can set up access to the device, set passwords and access the internet through wifi. Once you do that the device works very well. I am still trying to figure out how to mask my wifi, however. Neither the manual nor the admin setup are intuitive. This is why I gave the device only four stars.

This product works as advertised. I live in an old home with plaster walls. Those walls significantly limited the Wi-Fi range. This product solved that.

We were unable to get full bar WI-FI status in my sons room with any other product. Finally this product worked for us as his room is the farthest from the WI-FI modem. It was really easy to install.

I have a house with stone walls. WI-FI did not work in the living room. A Best Buy employee recommended this product. I followed directions, but they were not complete. A laptop computer was needed to access the remaining directions from Netgear site. Had to pay for a PC technician to get it working. It works great! Funny - A Best Buy computer geek told me to return this product when I called for help as he said this type of product doesn't work.

This works great, providing a strong signal. It plugs into an outlet and the signal uses the electric line to provide a new wi-fi signal. Great for outlying structures on the same power lines.

It really works! Very easy to install. Now have wifi out in our back yard. Cheapest and most effective way to extend our service.

Extended network to remote sprinkler approx 25 feet from wap. Not lost connection yet - 1 month.

After speaking to a Best Buy associate I decided to buy this wifi extender to help with signal issues in my basement. The set up couldn't be any easier and my signal is great and streaming is flawless now.

This really increased the speed of my WiFi to my master bedroom and guests room.

It solved my wifi problem in an impossible corner of my home and provides blazing speeds with direct connection in my home office. My only complaint is that no one suggested this product sooner.
