This device was recommended by an in store clerk, but it did not fix our problem. I kept trying to follow the instructions but they sent me a deadend every time. I talked to a Netgear rep on the phone for an hour, thought I had solved it, but no. So I finally gave up, packed it back into its box and took it to store for a return. There I was told I was too late. The manager came out to tell me. He seemed to think I was trying to cheat him and happy he was teaching me a lesson. I learned a lesson all right, I will never set foot in a BestBuy again. I had planned on having the Geek Squad help me find a solution, but not now. The manager should be proud.

PWL works fine, but wifi is an extender, thought it can be a wifi ap BY itself

We bought the Powerline AC 1000 access point because we couldn't pick up wifi everywhere in our house. Now we can go anywhere and the reception is fantastic..definitely worth it!

Because the signal runs directly from your router to the location of the powerline extender through the electrical wiring in the house you do not lose the signal strength of normal extenders

This product has been working great for us, in the last month since I have purchased. We had issues with "dead" spots in our house and this seems to have solved the problem with extending our WiFi.

We live out in rural America. We have a dish. But our WiFi connection Has always been up & down. It’s much better now and our Geek was the greatest !

Easy to get in place but did not solve my problem with slow WiFi in my basement. Kept it only because it helped in other rooms.

Purchased to strengthen my WiFi upstairs. That’s exactly what it did. Now I have Good strong connection in the upstairs bonus room over the garage.

Set up was a easy and this has extended the effective range of our WiFi capabilities to an area in the house had no connection before.

This product worked but it was not very fast. I connected it to my router at 1000mb and it slowed down my network to about 350mb. even by hard wiring directly to my router, it slowed down the entire network.

The product does exactly as advertised. It works great and extends the WiFi incredibly well

Every now and again signal will weaken but I think that may be my provider more that this extender.

This product worked extremely well to extend and strengthen my wireless internet to all part of my house. Much less expensive than a mesh system and works quite reliably. Very satisfied.

I guess I got lucky cause these work well. No extra network cables in the rental. They have gone down maybe twice, unplug it and plug it back in
