This is Better than the wireless single box. 2 box for the win

I replaced my old ethernet adapter with this one and it is by far better.

This item did not work for me. I bought it to help boost a wifi signal in the bedroom farthest away from the router. In the den, where the router is, our speed is about 500Mps. I hooked up the Netgear Powerline Wifi 1000 in the den and received a speed of 20 Mps. I tried every outlet in the house and got speeds under that. Not worth the effort .

It made my life easier. Now I get wifi everywhere in the house.

My modem is about 40ft away from the extender and it works perfect!

My son has one and loves his. We didn't need ours so returned it.

Took me a while to locate the password. Now working wonderfully!!

Worked good for a couple days, then all my devices started dropping internet connection. Bb employee said it's because the device cuts the width of broadband in half.

I purchased this device on the suggestion of Ring tech support so that the Ring Spotlight Cam devices on the side and back of my home could receive a stronger wifi signal needed to connect to the app. This device is supposed to work as follows: You plug the transmitter into an electrical outlet and using an ethernet cable, connect the transmitter to your router. The receiver is plugged into another electrical outlet in the area where the wifi signal needs to be stronger. The wifi signal is supposed to travel through the existing electrical lines from the transmitter to the receiver so that the receiver can broadcast the wifi signal in that area and allow the you to have a stronger wifi signal far away from the router. After setting it up with the guidance of Netgear tech support and placing the receiver within feet of the cameras, the wifi signal strength was about the same as the signal coming directly from my router (which was about 40 feet further away). In short, there will little or no improvement in the strength of the signal to the Ring spotlight camera, per the Ring app vs the signal coming directly from the router. Unfortunately, I waited to long to return the device to Best Buy, so it turned out to be a waste of $129.99 + tax. This is the first time I have been disappointed in a Netgear product.

If you add this wireless adapter to your system and are using the plug in adapters as well it will render those useless. Great product otherwise
