Good but deprecated
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Used to be the best value PCVR headset but be advised that Facebook+Oculus have announced they’re not supporting this headset going forward in favor of the newer Quest 2 headset (which can also do PCVR). Since they’re the same price if you’re okay with supporting Ovulus and Facebook the Quest 2 is 100% the better buy.

Major glitches, Rift is being discontinued.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.HUGE known problems with the connectivity of the direct video cable with most computers. After 2 weeks of research on forums, it turns out that it has been a 2 year issue with crickets coming from oculus in response. They announced early January that **THEY ARE DISCONTINUING THIS MODEL** so any bugs and glitches will not be fixed. They are investing in their Quest 2 which has an optional cable which is needed for professionals and 3d/ VR work. The only possible fix is to completely re-construct the Vbios (on MSI laptops). I customized a laptop to specifically run these type of heavy programs. I'm not going to potentially damage a brand new computer. It would have been helpful if they made this announcement 2 weeks earlier. This would have been a great product if the issues were fixed, but it literally cannot be used.
