The item I purchased was sent but sadly it was not made clear that the item needed a $1200.00 computer to actually work properly. I was never told that the $ 1200 dollar upgrade was necessary. As a birthday gift it was was useless and he was saddened when it had to be returned. Partly my fault but sadly the salesperson did not let me know that the upgrade was required!

Not as good as the htc vive! I bought this for my son and he has alot of tracking problems.

Mic stop working less then a year. Over all good for playing games I guess.

Didn't like it. Felt kinda cheap and unfinished same thing with all vr headsets.

It has some glitches if I’m being honest, still testing it out but doesn’t seem that great

I bought this back in January and I've had nothing but problems with the tracking and performance. This is not a system I would recommend to anyone and it's not worth the money. Oculus technical support doesn't seem all that interested in fixing the issues and is now suggesting my computer may be too powerful for their system.

Difficult to hook up. Trued using tv, desktop, laptop. Wasn't successful setting it up.

Bought it for a bday gift and cant even get the app to load on a gaming computer. Have been chatting with Oculus sutomer service for 4 days trying to fix issue ( patch doesnt work either) and still nothing. Returning it for a refund

They do not tell you what you need to use this. First if all you need a gaming computer

This is not what we expected. It shuts down every 5 minutes. Worst money i ever spent.

I had to return it. We had nothing but issues with it. Screen would go completely blank , had to unplug and restart it multiple times in order for it to work for a couple minutes. There was connection issues as well. Nothing but a pain . Very disappointed.

Bought the wrong Oculus and didn't have the right computer to install Windows 10.

Returned!! The chronic Display Port connectivity poor manufacturer support left us not choice to return. We should have researched more. There’s a distinct group that had the same issues. Best Buy provided great support and understood completely when we returned it. The problem was not with Best Buy at all. Oculus needs to fix their product!!

I'm done with Bestbuy delivery's if they are going to continue putting packages on the street instead of my porch where everyone else delivers. It's nice to get packages delivered, but I expect them put on the porch with all the thieves around. Delivery services could have people follow them and easily steal items. Lazy delivery people I guess.

This is my first VR headset and being a n00b to VR I must be easily impressed because this thing is awesome!! I did have some problems getting the Rift setup and Oculus customer support took over a week to reply, but this was at launch and I’m sure their response times are much better now. My problem was that I couldn’t even get the software to install on my computer. Customer support asked me to disable my integrated graphics card, which I couldn’t figure out how to do, but in my search I discovered that my integrated graphics card drivers weren’t up-to-date. I decided to update all the drivers on my computer, along with anything else needing updated. I then tried to install the software again and it worked! From what I’ve read this is a more simplified and slightly improved version of the original Oculus Rift, and I love it. I’m so glad that this doesn’t have the additional external tracking sensors and only requires 1 USB 3.0 port and 1 Display port. Even without the additional sensors, the tracking on the headset works very well. The headset fits great, is fully adjustable to fit my head perfectly and I have a fairly large head, lol. There is a knob on the back that tightens the Oculus around your head and a button on the bottom to bring the screen closer or further away from your face. The only thing I don’t like about the headstrap is the rigid hard plastic on the back, which isn’t very comfortable if you want to lean back and rest your head while using, say for watching a movie. I love the pass-through capability of this headset. The video quality isn’t the best, black and white with some pixelation and distortion, but it’s a fantastic feature allowing me to see my real life environment without having to remove the headset. It also allows you to set up “Guardian” boundaries, so that you know if you are stepping out of your safe gaming space. This display looks very good. When playing games I don’t really notice the “screen door” effect that I’ve read about on other VR headsets. Everything is sharp, detailed and clear. The built-in sound isn’t the best, which in my opinion is extremely important to a fully immersive experience. I wish the Rift S had built-in headphones, I feel like this would improve the experience. I can use my own headphones, which work fantastic, but that requires an additional step when setting up. Also, please note that you most likely will not be able to use your traditional over the head headphones because of the Oculus design, you will need to use earbuds. Overall I’m very happy with the Oculus Rift S, playing the games is a completely new experience for me and I’m loving it. I can only stand to have the headset on for about an hour before I have to take a break, but that’s probably standard for all VR headsets. I would definitely recommend this to anyone with a gaming PC, with a Display Port, who wants to start VR gaming.

After buying this we spent days and hours working to fix the locked up tracking on the controllers. Come to find out the company still hadn't fixed the issue so many people were having with the same issue. Been issue for more then 3 months and still no fix so we took it back and got the HTC unit which has been working flawlessly.
