lasted 4 months and quit working, I even upgraded the PC to no avail.

Same technology as 4 years ago, poor technology and poor software.

The tracking on the Rift S is not super great. It loses tracking often.

The Birthday Gift for my son should have been exciting and fun. Oculus Rift S has been challenged with out of box issues. Most recent return required me to give up my 2 year protection plan to get it replaced. I now have a third unit and while hoping for the best, will have no protection plan coverage. Epic Fail

The sensors on the headset were defective right out the box. Had to return.

Bought a brand new be cable computer. Took over 6 months for it to be in stock again. Delivered a junk one. Spend hours trying to install. Hours researching internet fixes and then hours and days online with tech support. After week and half I was so disillusioned I returned it.

The headset wasn't a bad deal at launch, but now that they require an actual real facebook account and they still cant make decent working software I have to give it a 1 star. Ignoring the stupid facebook requiment im currently stuck in a restart to update. Stay away from the brand

Returned after one day. I'm not new to VR gaming or headsets. Thought I would try it for casual VR gaming in leu of pulling out the Steam headset. controller tracking was less than sub-par. tried all the recommendations. wasn't worth the hassle

Your laptop or PC will need to have a DisplayPort connection for these to work. The specifications on Best Buy online only mentions USB port as required -- which is totally false. Returned the product, Best Buy took it back no problems. Turning to the Quest 2 instead.

We purchased one unit, and returned it because the hand controls would constantly disconnect. Exchanged it for another and the screen would not come on although it was successfully connected. Returned that one. I have a disappointed son awaiting the next version.

EXTREMELY UNSATISFIED!!! How do u allow an order to go out being taped up like that like it was previously opened and the device itself was scratched!! How does this happen. Paying a lot of money for Sumthing brand new n get this.. unacceptable!!!!

Well I can not rate this Christmas gift I bought for my 14 Son. Which was intended to be his "big" gift, because is lap top is not compatible to play it. When we checked the specs we were left with the impression it was compatible.

For the price of this system it is put together very poorly..it has been sent back twice and currently is not working. Things like one side has no volume to the glue around the foam all has came off. Very poor system

I cannot even set up the headset due to either a bug on oculus’ end or due to a faulty cord that plugs from the computer into the headset. I waited 3 months for this headset to be back in stock only to get it and not be able to use it.

I have been testing it for some time now and my overall impression of the device is very positive. But before you decide to set on this, take a look at recommended specs for required PC. Make sure you match those. I have two PCs one with GTX 970 and another with 2070. I only have sufficient physical space near GTX 970 so I ended up using it mostly on that. My review is primarily based on that. On my second PC, I did not have space at my C drive and Oculus installer have no GUI option to change drive. I had to search it and find the command line to run it with. Even than I kept on having issues despite having a powerful GPU. I installed it on C drive on My GTX 970 PC and faced no issues what so ever. For past few weeks, I have tested plenty of games (Viveport 2 months free trial could not have come at a better time). You must try the Lab from valve (free) to start with and go to Batman VR. There are now plenty option to experience VR. I wear glasses for astigmatism. And though the headset is comfortable with glasses, I have been mostly wearing it without them and as it all plays very near no my eyes I have had no issues what so ever. From viveport to steam VR to Oculus service, it all worked perfectly with rare hiccups (which get solved by restarting the app). There were some games which crashes or get stuck once in a while, you can get by restarting the game. The eco-system is still maturing and should get better over time. The cable is long enough (it is more than I have space for in my home). Tracking is phenomenal, considering there are no extra sensors to place with Rift S. It supports 80 FPS max and though it is less than what original Rift had, I did not notice it at all. Controller are light weight and I recommend you invest in rechargeable AA batteries. Between Quest and Rift S, if you are someone like me who already has a PC. I will pick Rift, for PC power and the fact that there is no battery involved in Rift S. There are so many options for small kids to explore. From under water sea to balloon ride. There is already a multiplayer shooter in VR. I have completely enjoyed Rift S, and hopefully there software will become better as time progresses. There are many games to enjoy it (it is still no where close to typical PC library), and I want to give a shout out to "Fancy Skiing VR" for making my mind believe I am really taking that jump.

In order to use this headset you must have a Facebook account and link it to the headset. TERRIBLE. Facebook is a horrible company and it's ludicrous that it needs to be associated in order to use the headset.

Many software problems and poor Oculus support. Controller got stuck all the time and you can't enjoy this device if 90% of the time you're going to use it ends on the shelves because you give up.
