So make sure you have windows 10. Now about the vr headset. It's really nice and much better than the first one I tried a few years ago. They're getting better with each generation. Can't obviously show you the difference but as someone who has tried d a few this has come along way. For the price it's much better that it counterparts. Augmented reality almost but yes it's vr. The hand controls took a while to get used to depending on your use of video game controllers is one. I use an Xbox one so it was a bit easier for me. I used it to watch shows and 2 games. My video card is strong enough to run them on medium to high settings. But I really like that it's not as taxing on the pc as it used to be. The price and better fit with the rift headset is worth the investment. It's not for everyone and the anti fogging only works for so long so take breaks. I recommend this unit to anyone who wants to try a new way of watching show and gaming.
