Comfortable and EZ VR
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fits great and has a great picture. Blacks aren't as good as the older oled panels but resolution and text are much better. Cord still sucks but it is what it is at this point in VR.

Amazing for Quickplay
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have a VR ready computer? Don't have any VR equipment? Too lazy to buy a used Oculus Rift and set up the sensors? Have a small play-space? I'd suggest you get this. Often, it's super easy to use as a plug and play sort of thing. Takes seconds to setup, plug in the two things I need, grab my remote, launch the game, and bam. Really simple and easy. Sure, it compromises many things, but it's good for plug and play, and as long as you aren't a super fine detailed kind of person who notices every tiny thing, you should be ok.

Better for PC and vs Facebook banning I hope
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this when the Quest 2 was coming out. I had to compare which was better and since I am a PC gamer I wanted the option to play more PC games with the mods they have. I also suspect if Facebook gets worse on their account banning i will have more options with the Rift S as it connects to my PC and not only to the Oculus network. Great product for the money and no complaints.

Great VR Experience
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wasn’t sure this was going to be significantly better Han my PlayStation VR, but the experience is. The motion blurriness is minimal and the resolution is great. My only gripe is with the foam that touches your face. It’s not high quality, especially for $400 and it doesn’t feel great. It’s straight foam against your face so it collects sweat and can be kind of gross. The audio on the headset is acceptable.

Wow, just wow
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first vr headset, so I'm experiencing it through untainted eyes, literally. So far its been an amazing experience. Set up was a snap: download/install the program, plug the unit in when prompted, firmware updates, and your off and running. The tutorial programs are fun to play with and Elite Dangerous worked immediately. The controllers are comfortable and intuitive. I've tried a lot of the free stuff you get (to many to mention) and all have worked rather well. I think it's worth noting I've only got the minimum graphics card and with the default settings, I haven't noticed any slow down at all. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Great product overall, with minor issues.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great product, the screen door effect which was quite distracting on the previous version is a lot less noticeable. Also, you no longer need the external sensor which was required on the previous version. Everything is built into the headset and it's quite convenient and easy to setup. The built-in external speakers(headphone ) is alright, lacks the bottom frequencies. Because the speakers are farther away from your ear, you don't get the close in feel of a headphone soundstage. The sound is wider and all around you, but yes, to those who like lots of low end sound, a headphone would be a better alternative, but then the 3d sound and the soundstage will probably collapse. For me, if it was between wider soundstage or more bass, I would pick wider soundstage. It adds to the immersion factor, while bass not as much. The foam padding isn't replaceable and you can easily sweat with all the moving associated with VR games. One reason I wouldn't buy one used. It's default PD(pupillary distance) is around 64, and it isn't adjustable anymore. My PD is 68, so there is that gap which can cause eye strain to some. It felt ok, no issues, everything seems in focus. Ofcourse, there is some slight adjustment up and down, side to side with the straps for optimal eye to screen focus. Otherwise the edges of your view can be a bit out of focus due to the difference in PD. Anyway, great product. Highly recommended if your PC can deliver high frame rates.

Much more convenient than the Rift CV1!!
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This headset requires no sensors and is a plug and play solution for full room scale VR. Tracking is close to perfect for normal uses. It has deadzones behind your back obviously but ive yet to play a game where its affected me. I can reach over my shoulder in games and grab guns no problem. I did have to buy a USB 3.0 card for my pc to run the headset without issues but it was only $15-20. The built in audio on the headset sucks but it was EASILY remedied with a pair of earbuds.

For the right person it's an amazing purchase
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally bought this headset for only a couple games(mainly beat Saber) but after using it in various applications I've found myself searching for more ways to use it, and for the right person it's the perfect purchase. Not to mention if you have the time the rift S can be set up for use in almost any game either through in game mods or third-party software. The increased resolution on this greatly reduces the SDE(screen door effect) and you quickly forget about it, the 80Hz refresh rate has made no difference to me compared the 90Hz on the previous headset and has in no way affected me in giving me motion sickness.

Not Reliable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The experience is amazing. However, we are constantly having to unplug the cables (USB 3.0 and Display Port) and plug them back in. You can only get in about a half an hour or so of game play, before something goes wrong. Very disappointing.

Works great

Absolutely amazing experience
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This VR is incredible. The graphics are premium, sound in clear and loud, movements are accurate and zero lag. Easy game installation. The only reason I didn't give it five stars in that for some reason the Oculus driver keeps uninstalling itself, at least once daily and must be reinstalled and unplugged to use again. I haven't been able to figure out why

Great PC Powered Headset Still, No Quest 2 for me!
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well, we're inside more often now and I want to escape to a better reality and not pay $1000. It was either the Valve Index or the Rift S and I'm happy with my choice. I wanted to invest in VR at the entry-level and this thing gives back 1000%. Absolutely love gaming in VR and playing games on Steam! This is a blast and I can't recommend it enough. Sadly the Quest 2 has blown this thing out of the water and Facebook/Oculus will stop support soon but if you don't mind that this PC connected headset still works incredibly well!

Awesome product
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you wear glasses, this is not problem, when I use my oculus with my glasses it's fine, I also seen people getting prescription lenses using a mounting that goes inside the oculus. Great product, when you open the box it's a great presentation. It's a lil bit heavy after a while. When I play xplane 11 with oculus it's really immersive, even my kids love this product. I'll recommend this very much. I have not tried the htc vive pro, but they are twice the price. Also, this oculus rift s does come.with sensor's on the goggles so you don't have to buy extra sensors.

great as standalone
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This headset tracking is not as good as the first rift if you have all the sensors but if you don’t have room for all that extra stuff this is a great choice. I’ve had it for about a month now and the only problem I’ve run into is the batteries dying quickly because I always leave it plugged into the computer. Make sure to take the batteries out when you are not using them.

Awesome VR experience, with a couple of issues
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have enjoyed the Rift S so much more that I thought I was going to. The screen resolution and 3D effects are unbelievable. I’m only knocking a star for two reasons... First, the built in head phones is not very great, below average at best. I have to wear head phones over the headset, which can make things kinda of heavy for extended gaming sessions. On games like “Saber Beats” I just use my Logitech Z625 speakers. Second, the first one I bought wouldn’t connect. I kept getting connection errors. After spending about 3 hours troubleshooting the whole thing, I took it back for a return, but I changed my mind last minute and exchanged it for another one. That one plugged in and worked without a hitch. I did find that when I was troubleshooting the Rift S, the problem I was having seemed to be common enough that there was quite a bit about it online. So obviously Oculus some QA manufacturing issues that make it to the end user. Overall, I don’t regret my purchase one bit. I am a little disappointed that Oculus dropped the price a $100 a month and a half after I purchased mine. Oh well, that’s just how tech products are.

Great way to get into VR
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This will blow your mind! Very great way to get into VR however, if you are looking for high end graphics and a more sensitive control system then I would look elsewhere. This system will allow you to play any of the VR titles out there and really get a taste of what’s next. It is completely immersive and fun to play and learn with the system.
