This headset was fantastic until nvidia or windows or whatever just no longer would connect it correctly.

This headset tracking is not as good as the first rift if you have all the sensors but if you don’t have room for all that extra stuff this is a great choice. I’ve had it for about a month now and the only problem I’ve run into is the batteries dying quickly because I always leave it plugged into the computer. Make sure to take the batteries out when you are not using them.

This is a great headset. 4 stars instead of 5 because I feel like the vision around the face could be a better quality it looks as though with age it could start to show some wear or detach. The 90hz refresh was not noticeable to me but I'm not playing competitive games. It does require a pc to run but I wanted the higher graphics power!

Love this VR headset. This is my fourth VR set, with the previous primary being the PSVR. Rift S being my most expensive set, it is amazing. It IS a corded set, but the cord is fairly lengthy and pliable, so it moves with you easily. The controllers are fantastic, and quite intuitive to use. The Rift S does need some light, anbiant or otherwise, to be able to function. The graphics are beautiful. The demo that comes with the Rift was so incredible, i very easily allowed myself to be absorbed into the VR experience.

This is a very entertaining product. However, for the amount of money this costs, you should be able to turn it on and enjoy it. On Christmas Day, my son had so many issues with this device it literally ruined his day. After watching u tube videos he was able to correct it. This was a huge let down. Since then he loves it!

I love this VR set. This is my first VR headset and purchased it after reading up on it and others for months. I will have to say that YOU NEED A SEPERATE USB CARD for this to run properly. After a few very frustrating days of trying to get this to work, I purchased a separate USB card that Oculus/others recommended and it was smooth sailing after that. There are still a few hiccups here and there but nothing that kills gameplay. Headset is rather comfortable but after 30 minutes I have to take a break.

Bought for my kids, currently running on a Predator Helios Laptop, very easy to setup and use, my first venture into VR gaming so looks amazing to me, I have not used any other High end VR headsets so i have nothing really to compare it too. A lot of requirements need to be met so just make sure your computer is able to before purchasing. One drawback I have noticed for my Son is that because he is relatively small still, under 5'0 it doesnt register his height on some games, tried readjusting the play area and floor but it does not change.

Very first VR experience but over all outstanding. Software can be a bit buggy though it's still in beta testing so is to be expected. Only had one issue with nonresponsiveness and static in passthrough but it came down to software bug not hardware. All is working fine now and is great. Really love it. Can't wait to see what they can do with it later down the road.

I have Rift S for already a year and so far I love it. Returned this one because could buy Oculus Quest for the same price and basically with the same delivery time. Main issues usually the software of Oculus and the fact that you have to reconnect it each time you restart your PC which creates additional will-stopper.

When it works, this is a very fun VR headset to use. My headset sometimes flashes in my eyes so I can’t give it anything higher than 3 stars. I would honestly recommend a Vive or valve index if you have the money. But, on a budget Oculus is great for the price.

Amazing for the price, very comfy, visually pleasing. But heed my word when I say you will have do do a lot of troubleshooting, pretty frequently. 1/5 times I start it up it needs an update or my windows version doesn't match, etc. Nothing too bad or game breaking, but very inconvenient. If I could do 4.5 outta 5 I would.

Good product, and easy to use, there appears to be enough games available from both Oculus and third party developers like steam. The availability of software was a major factor in purchase this product. Recommend purchase something to manage the cables. Having a good PC was also important in making the decision.

Amazing entry level HMD without needing a Facebook account. Had to return mine for issues with the DP connection or something with the software, and it looks like its a somewhat common issue that plagues this headset. Most people don't have issues and mine didn't for 3 months, but it just recently gave up the ghost.

I bought it for my son who loves playing game on pc. I tried it on after he got it all set up. It was really cool and give me a realistic feeling like I'm going to fall off the cliff when I'm too close to the edge. The only problem is the hand controlling does not match the one in the game. The one you see in the video game is either an old or updating version.

My son likes the VR set. It's a little clunky/messy with the cords. They get twisted up and wrapped around him. Also, he has connectivity issues that seem to be related to the port that plugs the cord to the headset. It keeps coming out slightly causing the headset to disconnect. Kind of annoying!

Comparing the occulus rift S to the original the S wins when comparing ease of use and resolution. The only thing i dont like on this headset is that the cameras lose track of the controllers when you go a bit behind your back. This happened quite a few times while playing robo recall or similar games that make you reach behind yourself to complete an action.

There are a lot of reviews on this device so instead i want to give anyone who is looking into getting this some advice. If your using a RTX card, get an usb A to C adapter and use the usb C port on the graphics card. It will supply more than enough power and bandwidth for the Rift S. If you don't have an RTX card then i would recommend getting a PCIE usb 3.1 card that takes power directly from the supply. Oculus customer support has one that they recommend which supplies enough power. Other than that this is a great headset for the price.

This was purchased for my Son, he is 13 and he feels these are much better than the one he had (Samsung). He set it up by himself, and had no real issues except using certain already purchased Steam VR Games. Other than needing to purchase the same game again due to that issue, these are a good value.
