Even though this product is being discontinued I have enjoyed this entry VR headset and would say that anyone looking to get into PC based VR get one of these for their first inexpensive set. Works great on my dated setup. - i7 - 3770K, overclocked to 4.2Ghz - GTX 1070Ti FE card - 16Gb Corsair Vengeance RAM

A good headset to start with especially if you have at least a good mid end PC for it to boost the graphics more than a wireless headset

It’s a fun way to play games. It becomes fussy if you use seam games with it. Good fore first timers But if you play a lot. I would go with the valve be headset You do get what you pay fore. If it was about 100 less

Love it been using it for exercise it gets a little uncomfortable when you wear it for a long period of time but there are a lot of third-party mass covers to buy on Amazon that aren’t that expensive and it’s cheaper and a little easier to use than HTC Vive no boxes in each corner of the room very easy to use

It's pretty good overall, the tracking of the motion sensors can be a little off at times and there's a pretty noticeable screen door effect. For $400 it's a little iffy, for around $250-300 I would be into it.

This is a great beginner VR headset and is far better than the quest if you have a gaming PC to drive those graphics. I absolutely love the controllers and they feel great in the hands! However, two weeks into using the headset (light use maybe 2-3hrs per week on Beat Saber), I noticed a crack in the piece connecting the display to the headband. I always stored my headset on my desk, never throwing it around, but I was surprised that it started cracking after such little use. Unfortunately I couldn’t return and get a replacement since this was more than two weeks after purchasing, but Oculus was willing to send a replacement free of charge. This could have just been a defect, but this is something to consider.

VR is still in its infancy. Luckily this headset is 1/3 the price of the first series and it does the job. I thought id want the valve index with its fancy 144hz and camera tracking but honestly you don't need all that. I got the protection plan because I punched a door at my buddies place, so yeah. In sum: great price, don't punch a door.

I bought this for my boyfriend as a Christmas gift. He built his own computer and loves items like this. The gaming system is great but occasionally lags and is finicky. Overall a great gift but not meant for everyday use!

The Oculus Rift S is a fantastic VR headset! It has almost everything you need to get started with VR, works with SteamVR, it has its own portfolio of awesome exclusive games, the controllers are comfortable, the headset is of good quality and is super easy to set up! Overall, a wonderful product!

Amazing experience, but the technology does still have a little way to go. Screen gives everyone headaches after about 30 minutes of play, but is also just the coolest and most fun experience.

I have always been a diehard, classically trained artist...and then I tried these. With the application Tilt Brush, art becomes a whole, new, and incredible experience! These work seamlessly with the software, they are comfortable, and very user friendly. I am not a gamer, and I took right to these with the intuitive set up.

Very good product. My son is enjoying it! He uses it all the time and it is really fun and easy to set up. It takes gaming to a whole new level. My suggestion would be to invest in rechargeable batteries for the hand units because if not you will go through a lot of regular batteries.

I’ve had plenty of fun using this, especially playing walking dead I’ve gotten so immersed i lost track of time. Can’t wait to try other games like half life and la noir. This VR headset is a good price for what you get tracking is great on this as well. Beats paying $400 other than $500 or $1000 for index

I had the CV1 and sold them did not like the track cameras and all the cables. This one has the tracking cables on the headset so that is nice The image is less blurry, the God rays and SDE is almost gone. I will keep this one They are still working out some of the bugs because its a new product and software updates have been incoming

I’ve been waiting so long to finally get this. Having a small space in my room for it I can’t get the albeit more powerful headsets like the vive or index, but being able to essentially create my own little square is great and I’m able to enjoy most of the games offered in VR. For $400 you can’t go wrong

Installation and setup is easy. Terrific display, and having 5 built-in cameras makes the tracking near perfect. My only complaint would be with the built in audio. Oculus needs to release a headphone upgrade.

Worst Store Management EVER, Great Product However

PRODUCT, 5 STARS! THE STORE I BOUGHT IT FROM, ZERO STARS. Here's why, the manager there should not have a job. I don't know his name and when I asked he would not tell me. He was a caucasian male with glasses, thin build about 5'9 or so. I wanted to buy my daughter a new PC. I have a 1060 low profile gaming card that I wanted to make sure fit into the PC I'd chosen. I asked to look inside the display one and the manager refused. He said I'd have to buy one to look inside. I told him you can't be serious and he said I am and I could always leave. I calmly said no problem and bought the PC. I opened it right there at the cash register and sure enough, my card would not fit. I asked to return it and he said they cannot do same day returns. I was shocked. I took the PC home, came back the next day and returned it. I also vowed to NEVER shop here again. If not for the fact that they were the only ones who had the Rift S I would have went somewhere else. I used to go there all the time but I'll never be back.

I never had the chance to try Virtual Reality, but now that I have, I am extremely happy that I chose to purchase the Oculus Rift S. It's a great introduction into the world of VR, and the inside-out tracking allows for more flexibility with playing situations. One of the best purchases I've made!
