Great upgrade VR system for gaming PC
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I sold my Oculus Rift I got about $200 for it and I made this purchase a lot easier. It is a lot easier to install as you do not have to set up any sensors. The resolution per eye ball is also increased making it an overall better experience.

Great VR for PCVR enthusiasts
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you like PCVR game over the mobile VR games then go for this one. Considering the price this is a great buy. However, I felt the O rings on the oculus controllers were fragile and could easily be broken under hard impact

The hardware has issues
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this headset as a birthday present for myself and out of the box it immediately had issues syncing up the touch controllers and after messing with it for several hours and googling the problems I was having I found that it was a manufacturer defect and would need to replace the headset. Luckily Best Buy gave me no troubles and replaced the headset no problem (because I was in my 14 day return policy period). Fast forward a few months and my replacement headset is working fine and I got a lot of play time with it. I played a lot on the headset for about 3 months before due to living situation and PC arrangements the headset got put on a shelf and left untouched for about 4-5 months, and when I put it away up until then it was working great. I finally got room to setup my VR headset again in the beginning of February and when I hooked up the headset it booted just fine but now for some reason the headset loses positional tracking (arm movement) of the touch controllers after about 1-3 minutes of playing I did more research trying to figure it out I guess I am not the only person with this issue and the only fix is a new headset. So to sum up it is an awesome headset and maybe I am just having bad luck but I have gotten 2 dead headsets in under a year, manufacturer/hardware issues. Do I recommend this headset? Yes, I really do I love this headset but be careful and pay close attention to issues with it. I am currently waiting to hear back from Oculus hopefully they will honor their 1 year limited manufacturer warranty.

What Screen Door?
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from a cv1 and was skeptical at first because my biggest gripe was the screen door effect. Rift S got rid of that and the sensor cameras work so much better than the sensor stands of the previous model too.

Accuracy without all the wires
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved the original rift VR but the ease of use and flexibility of this model makes it superior. I can easily move it from my office to the living room for parties or even take it to a friend’s house. Beat Saber is pure gold.

Very nice
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its a great experience. Payday 2 in VR is a whole new game with tons of content! Easily one of the best VR games. Even better if your buddies have it in vr too. Dual pistols, and you are John Wick. Onward is another must have VR game.

Must have Facebook to use these!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased for 13 year old for Christmas. He is enjoying it. Says it takes getting use to. Only downfall, which I did not know prior to opening the box, is you must have FACEBOOK to use the VR. My concern is, what will happen when Facebook is no more, as MySpace is no more? Things change and social platforms change, as many new social platforms are already being started (MeWe and Parker). Other than that, he’s only had one day, so too new for a complete review.

Oculus review
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my third vr head set, I really like that it doesn’t get hot like the others that I had, also images are clear also the only downside i would say is that all programs run from your pc so if you want to watch Netflix or sling on vr it run from you pc and it a little confusing I still not sure how it works but I still learning so not saying it’s bad, xplane in vr look real good, been flying and landing like if I where in a real cockpit so that real good

Good if you didn't ownGearVR and have expectations
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the Galaxy Note 5 and owned a GearVR. Compared to the GearVR this unit is completely inferior! There is much more of the visual "Screen Door" effect where it looks like you are looking through a screen door when using the unit. The Oculus Link Beta app is "Ok" at best. My chief complaint with that is that SOME APPS (not all so I repeat SOME) will not work when natively installed via the Oculus application. So I had to run a mklink /j (shortcut) (true location) from an administrator elevated command prompt. This manually placed a hard link in C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\(Game Folder) that points to C:\Program Files\Oculus\Software\Software\(Game Folder)\(Game Folder) (A right click and create shortcut does not work for me). the games so far I have had to do this for has been Moss, Trover saves the universe, Wizards, Herobound, and Air Brigade. This issue maybe more related to the app but I don't have a Rift or Rift S so I can not say. I have an Intel i7 with Win 10 home and an Nvidia RTX2060. I could have used a USB-C to Display Link adapter and gone with a Rift or Rift S but I would not of had more of the GearVR apps that honestly was next to nill. Unless you get the Oculus branded USB cable your SOL on charging when connected to the PC. The oculus link cable is $80. The one good thing is you can use this on the go when not connected to your PC although you will not be able to use your PC apps.

Great VR experience
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After playing for almost a month this is probably my best VR experience ever. I've owned the Samsung gear VR and the PSVR. In my opinion this is a far better experience than both. Great tracking and a great selection of games.
