Great VR experience for an amazing price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked this headset up to play Half Life Alyx on my 1660ti (I know not the greatest) but still able to play it with no problems. Overall headset works great with sunlight, during the night you may need a lamp I notice it works better with light around, Coming from the PSVR it was a bit of an adjustment since PSVR works better with dim lighting and a low lit room. So far its been great, be prepared to purchase accessories such as a grip and a protector for the facemask since you would tend to get sweaty under there amazon has tons of products for this, helps if you have a fan blowing at you.

Great
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great comfort is good. Over all love the rift. Only give this 4 stars because I’ve read they are not supporting this going forward. Very disappointed to hear and I would have been first in-line if newer models were improvements on this model. Quest2 is cordless that is the only thing it has going for it. Get this if you want to play games connected to your computer.

Excellent VR Headset
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While this headset is a tremendous experience, bead in mind that this is the first and only VR headset that I've own. But none-the-less, it is still a very competent VR headset.

Great intro experience to vr.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am happy to say that I have enjoyed this product to the fullest. It is so amazing to be able to interact with friends afar in vr when you have a vr setup. This product is simplified, and pretty low in price when compared to other vr headsets. It works nicely. Though to have the best experience you might need to upgrade your pc a step or two beyond recommended specs. Overall. I am very pleased with oculus.

Need a million batteries to play.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not a fan but I guess I didn't expect this to not have rechargeable controllers. I have burned through batteries like crazy and it's just makes me not want to use it. I also found that the controllers lag at times and ruin game play. When things are working, I have fun playing. Overall it's just okay.

Not working in one my pc
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I cannot give a 5 start because currently is not working on my RTX 2070 Pc, I need to use my alienware laptop, and only because of that I didn't return it. Oculus support doesn't help and try to blame you and your equipment because is not working, when is clear is a software or compatiblity issue that they need to investigate and fix.

Decent performance but now has flaws
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Rift line has always been a budget option of sorts for getting into VR on PC. As a product this is not too bad. However, now that Facebook has now forced integration of Oculus with their company it becomes hard to recommend. For casual users this may not be a big deal as many people have FB accounts and don't really concern themselves with their data and privacy. But for people who do care about their data, this new measure of FB integration is unnecessary and a dealbreaker. New users who didn't have an Oculus account are now forced to use a FB account. Even if you had an Oculus account prior, the new ToS clearly states that Oculus account data is now fed into FB for analytics. Either way, this and any other Oculus products get a hard pass from me until FB backs down on their heavy-handed attempt to get more user data.

Much better than Rift CV1!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.More comfortable, better optics, less god rays, and the sensor tracking is really well done. The only thing better on the Rift CV1 is the audio. Oculus, you guys are brilliant, but the audio on Rift S is not bassy enough at all. Overall though this is a huge upgrade over the CV1. Absolutely love it! Would have been 5/5 stars but Oculus kind of blew it with the audio this time. Absolutely not a deal breaker though.

Tracking problems, cheap controllers, and more!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had to return this. Was at first quite impressed by the screen/lenses. They are quite nice. Upgrade over first generation. HMD is also comfortable and easy to put on. Unfortunately numerous weird, cheapo design decisions by Oculus ruined the rest of it for me. The battery covers on the controllers (which are too small and feel incredibly cheap) want to slip off every time you do something intense. It makes Beat Saber (no big deal, just the best selling and most popular VR game) a frustrating experience. It's an incredible oversight on Oculus's part. How this flaw got through testing really makes you scratch your head. The audio is as bad as you've read. Laughable that other reviewers are trying to defend it. This is just totally unacceptable for a 400$ device meant to deliver immersive entertainment. They do produce sound, but that's about the only positive. Music sounds awful, like it's coming out of a cheap netbook's speakers. There is literally no low-end, no bass. I mean ZERO. Ugh. Good thing you can use your own nice, studio monitor headphones with the included headphone jack. Oh wait, you can't fit them under OR over the giant halo-headband. Nice design decision: Give us awful audio and no way to remedy it! Thanks Oculus! Finally, the tracking is just not good enough. It misses crucial movements and has numerous dead zones where it can't see the controllers. Messes up archery games, shooters, and many more. Granted, the dropouts are infrequent, but one 1 second screwup per minute is enough to ruin the fun of many games. Gamers know this to be true. You need precision input all the time or games are frustrating instead of fun. Inside-out tracking like the Rift S has is a great idea in theory, but until they iron-out the kinks it is clearly a far inferior option to competing headsets. I also have zero confidence in the build-quality of this thing. The tightening strap on the back is sure to break in time. The foam face pads seem likely to wear down quickly as well, not to mention soak up sweat. The whole thing just feels cheap and flimsy. I love VR, but this headset just doesn't make sense to pair with a high-end gaming PC. Pony up for something better.
