I don’t know what to think or feel. This is an amazing product, but with lots of flaws and an almost inexistant tech support. Also, be warned that you really need the machine to handle VR games (which I have... and more). If you have less that the requirements, forget it. So, I love this headset, then I hate it. It’s so impressive, but also frustrating. The fact that we can’t do any adjustment to brightness (for example), and that the IPD is limited will give you headaches (and not the virtual ones). Been exchanging emails with tech support, and trying to find solution on my own regarding a few issues that many people have mentioned (please see other reviews), and I’m about to just give up. Not sure if I want to return the product, exchange it for the Quest 2, or keep it. But since I just got it a couple of weeks ago, I will take a few more days to decide. I guess that if I should have done my homework and read the reviews before buying this headset. Yet, it’s still a pretty cool device.

This headset, while great, has been discontinued for the Quest 2. If you're in the market for a great, affordable VR headset, that's the way to go.

It's very exciting to play. It's compatible with games that my already had on his computer. I recommend this to anyone that is thinking about purchasing it.

While lacking manual IPD adjustment, I found the software IPD to be more than adequate. The resolution is noticeably improved over the Rift, and the halo style headband is awesome. It can easily fit smaller heads in comfort, and the stock facial interface while comfortable would benefit from an aftermarket PLU or silicone where you can simply wipe it off as opposed to letting it dry after intense VR sessions. The controllers are a bit comfier than the Rift, and lighter. There's also reduced "screen door" effect and images are much sharper and clearer.

The Oculus Rift S exceeded my expectation. The headset is comfortable and controls easy to use. The graphics and the VR experience is extraordinary. Would recommend.

This is very well made and most likely a lot more potential for enjoyment but I am not tech savvy or trusting of apps and downloads so was only using what it came with. Couldn’t get anywhere with mystery museum. The google like global map was easier to Navigate and interesting. Adjustment able for glasses. Just couldn’t get more fun out of it so I sold it to someone younger.

As an upgrade to my original Oculus Rift, this headset has exceeded my expectations. It is absolutely noticeably clearer than the original Rift and surprisingly is sharper than the Oculus Quest despite having a lower resolution. The best thing (aside from the display improvement) is the comfort. I can wear this thing for hours with minimal discomfort. I wish Quest had this head strap system.

My first started experiencing problems after 7ish days. Ocolus was ok to work with just but required a bunch testing and logs to be run to determine if it was the unit or my pc. In my case I was experiencing the screen going black on two separate pc’s after about 30 seconds. They just claimed it was a hardware issue but noting more specific. A lot of reading led me to believe there was a common issue with the cords. Oculus wanted me to return the unit and wait for them to evaluate it and then determine if it was bad and send me a new one. Had I gone that route it would have likely been 2 more weeks for a replacement. I returned it to Best Buy telling them it was faulty. That was In itself a poor experience as the clerk was not listening and I needed to repeat things over and over and over and instead of an exchange she just returned it and said thanks. So I had to find an associate to have them find one as they were resetting for the quest 2 and repurchase. But so far no issues with the new unit

Lucky to get one of the hard to find VR Rift S headsets. Make sure you have a powerful machine to run this beast and prepare for the future of gaming.

I purchased this as a gift for my little brother who is an avid PC player. He really enjoys the vr and it works seamlessly with his PC.

With this being lighter than the previous generation is definitely a step forward for gaming in general, but I am having some minor issues with controllers. The pause and select buttons are now too close to where the thumb should roll around the controller, and the magnet holding the battery in right controller is weak, so playing movement intensive games, it slides out easily.

I love it! The games that I’ve played are tons of fun! Beware when you buy though, after buying the headset, you will have to buy the games when you get it home.

When I first tried to set it up I didn't know what to do but I had to go to the oculus site to download the software and the rest was easy to setup.

I waited 6 months to get the Rift and I wished I got it when I first looked into it. Alyx and Saints and Sinners are the best games.

Normally these things are complicated to setup but not this one. Few prompts in less than 10min and it’s all setup.

This headset is much better than the price would suggest. The setup couldn't have been easier and didn't take more than 10 minutes. Very comfortable, allowing for extended game play. Haven't had any fogging issues yet. Optics are quite clear and the "screendoor" effect is much improved over the original Rift. I use high end headphones when gaming and was concerned about the audio for the Rift S. It is quite clear, very immersive with good directional awareness. The handsets paired with the system automatically and are intuitive and comfortable.

I thought on getting vr for along time had a lot of doubts on vr oculus rift s put all thoughs doubts behind me better than I expected worth every penny
