I've known about VR and have heard reviews, but it wasn't until I got this headset that I realized how cool this really is.

For a PC headset and at the price now this is a great value but with the standalone out I would go with the quest 2

This rift is a upgrade for the original. Not having the sensors around the room is better and having less screen door effect is awesome too.

Super fun with lots of games to choose. Comfortable headset with great graphics gives a very real feeling experience.

I'd have given it five stars if it didn't need to tie in to a Facebook account. From a hardware perspective it's a very good VR headset, and a great value for the money. It's too bad they had to taint it with a Facebook account requirement.

Heard about the VR hype when it first came out, but was a little too scared to jump into one because I assumed there would be issues with the early models. Now, after waiting quite a while, I decided to purchase the Rift S. This is exactly what the casual VR/intermediate player needs for a awesome VR experience. The price is right, the quality is high in regards to build and performance, and it doesn’t take much to get it going. Would highly recommend to all looking for an awesome VR experience.

Visual quality much better, overall an improved experience. Love that sensor cams are now installed on the Rift, saving cord space. I wish it came with headphones. Glad it came with two controllers also, but it'd be nice if users can turn them off without having to take the batteries out when not in use. But the pros outweigh the cons. Love the rift s.

from the original Rift. This setup is by far better than the OG. Although I personally don't do VR, this is a great buy of VR equipment.

My son loves this for creating his VR games. Upgraded to this unit and am hearing all great feedback on this one.

This is our fisrst VR set. We have been very pleased with it so far! We have several VR specific games that play and look great! Even most games that are hybrid (can be played normally with a mouse and eyboard or played in VR) have worked well. So far, only Subnautica has given us problems, and from what I've read up, it is giving a lot of people problems. The only drawback I've got is that the sound is through little speakers that everyone can hear, rather than headphones.

I am very glad I waited for this new model “Rift S” to come out. Very easy to set up and get started. Would definitely recommend this unit.

The graphics are awesome! My son love it! He let me put it on and I was super impressed. I want to play it now...lol

Only downside - the battery life on the hand gear is erratic

I had the original Oculus Rift and I liked it, but hated all those sensors you needed to make it work. With this upgraded model you don't need external sensors because they are integrated in the headset and controllers which makes it easier to use sitting down on your desk. Good upgrade, but still hoping for Matrix quality immersion one day!

Getting straight to the point, if the headset doesn't connect correctly you need to install a 3.0 USB Port or buy a USB hub, you also need a Facebook account to connect to the VR launcher. It could be a struggle to connect but definitely worth the time once it's working correctly.

Everyone in the family loves playing Beat Saber but make sure you have at least the mid gaming card to have the best experience

To keep it short, there is definitively a display upgrade from the original Rift. Particularly in the reading of text and sharper edges in general. It makes the experience much better. Also not needed the sensors anymore is a huge plus. Combined with the cost as compared to the other headsets on the market, it is a good choice. I cannot believe what racing games look like on the oculus, it is like being in the car.
