This is a great headset and when it works it works wonderfully. There are some issues going around and Oculus is working to solve them. Make sure you measure your IPD before you buy. If it's on the outside of average this headset may not work well for you. There is no physical IPD adjustment.

My 14 year old son actually saved for and bought this by himself to connect to his gaming computer. It's a really great device play Oculus and Steam VR games with. There seem to be plenty of non violent games to play as well as interactive experiences. Great to get of you already have a gaming computer. If you don't it's best to get the Quest but you won't get the power and the ability to play the full game library or mod the games.

Easy to hook up and very easy to use. Great purchase and really enjoying it so far.

This product was great when I first got it. I've always wanted a VR headset that I could use and play games like beat saber and overall have fun. But after 2 weeks of having it there was a broken panel already in the VR headset. There was a purple line across the lenses there was no direct light or anything on the lenses knowing that the basement is really dark without lights. I went to go get a replacement and it was out of stock so I just returned it hoping I can just buy a better one. I would've loved this product but after 2 weeks of long usage and breaking fast I don't really recommend it much.

Wow was this a way to get some fun during the Social distancing. Played great games.

Unless your display port is connected directly to your gpu it will not work. My PC technically meets minimum requirements with my GTX 1050 ti. But since my mini display port technically gets routed to my integrated graphics and then passed to the 1050, it's not recognizing the 1050 at all. And disabling the integrated graphics won't work because this is a physical hardware incompatibility. Couldn't even get it to run based on this, BUT packaging is nice, it's super comfy, and the build quality feels like cheapish plastic but was overall very solidly built. And the controllers are actually really awesome in the hands. I would recommend this as long as you have the hardware to run, and triple check everything about your system first especially if it's a laptop.

Just bought this and learned that occult’s q2 just came out :(. But it’s an amazing device. Just don’t get too twisted up in the umbilical cord. I did try putting everything in a backpack and it kind of worked but I am afraid that the thing will overheat.

This is an amazing product. Out of this World experience. Not only for children.

Price was right. With the product I bought so ya cant say anything bad about it.

I was replacing my current Rift with the ‘S’ and found the increased brightness and clarity a step up from my current goggles. The lack of IPD adjustment left me with no choice but to return the ‘S’ due to both motion sickness and tension in my face and jaw as my eyes tried to fit the equipment rather than the other way around. The software adjustment did no good at all. I also found the ‘S’ to be quite uncomfortable and when I donned my old Rift the instant relaxing of my face muscles and eyes was welcome. If your eyes fit the unit, I would recommend. A disclaimer: I only use the goggles to race SRS/Assetto Cora’s online so I can’t speak to how any other game might be effect the overall utility. Bummer for me, guess I have to wait for the next gen. No problem with the return.

I am running this from an older model MSI laptop, and so far, I have had very few issues. Those issues are based on the not updated GC, not the rift. I have been playing beatsaber on steam with steamVR, and have almost zero lag. The headset itself felt kind of bulky and heavy the first time I put it on, but I quickly adjusted after a few minutes. I would highly recommend rechargeable batteries for the controllers.

Love it! Significantly better than the PS4 VR. I actually play this one a whole lot more as well.
