One of the controller triggers squeaks and unfortunately oculus won’t replace it unless I send mine in rendering a useless oculus setup for 2+ weeks. Otherwise it’s great can’t wait until they release a pc based wireless headset.

VR itself once you get it working on your pc is fun for the entire family. As for the computer that you're installing it on, make sure that it meets the minimum requirement (i.e. CPU, 64-bit Windows 10, 8G RAM) and that it has a working DisplayPort and USB 3.0. I had an older desktop pc and ended up buying a gaming pc just to get this VR to finally work. Be careful and try not to drop the controllers. Make sure to use the wrist straps because the round piece can easily crack if dropped which is what happened to mine after my 12yr old got a little carried away one of the games.

Bought this for my 12 year old nephew for Christmas and he loves it. It does need connecting to a computer for use so you will need to have a roomy area. I tried it out and found myself dizzy afterwards lol

The Oculus Rift S has much better image quality than the original Rift as well as built-in sensors. Only downfall is the wires but I would rather use my PC performance and have longer playtime (no battery worries other than the controllers).

I really wanted to get into VR a while ago and had my PC rebuilt specifically to do just that. The rep for Oculus in our store was a super nice guy and we would go back and forth over the Quest and Rift S. I finally landed on the Rift S a few weeks ago (the rep wasn't in the store anymore over this whole CV thing). I got it last week (was happy with the home delivery). Right out of the box i had issues. The software kept saying my computer doesn't meet the basic requirements for the Rift. I reviewed the specs before i bought the Rift S and not only does my system meet but it blows away the basic specs. The headset would work for a few minutes and then restart back at the home menu with that same notice. I was stunned. Mind you Oculus took down their PC tool that checks your computer for compatibility so i used Steams and Vive's tool, both said that my PC was a 9 or 9.1 on a scale from 1-10 for being VR ready. Long of the short is that Oculus customer service stated that my high end video card was not supported neither was my usb3. I was not interested in spending another $600 on a video card that BB doesn't carry or wait past the date i could return this item. In the End i ordered a quest (has not arrived yet) but accord to Oculus i should have zero issues using the Quest Link on my PC. What a nightmare. If you buy this item you better make sure your specs are exactly what oculus says it needs to be if you want a chance of this working. That USB3 thing is all over their support page as being a MAJOR issue.

The Rift S is great for gaming or just having fun. Graphics are excellent.
