I have the Rift us for almost two weeks now and initially I loved it. Unfortunately I am having constant issues with getting it to work properly. The most recent update now causes constant stuttering that makes the headset unusable. The issues I am having are not because of my system. My system is upper midrange and the main specs are as follows: 2070 Super, Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB 3200 Mhz ram, 1TB NVME SSD. The first few days before any new driver updates the headset worked perfectly and was a great experience. I do not think I could recommend that anyone buys this headset because of the horrible software/support problems.

Works perfectly as intended only problem is with my PC not being powerful enough for stable gaming. But the headset is not the problem.

This is a glimpse at the future. The immersive experience, achieved through head and positional tracking, 3D video, and directional audio, is so real.

Great product but the controllers have a tendency to drift.

Fun to play, when not glitching, sometimes the controls unpair.

I never got to use this because my gaming laptop (also sold to me by Bestbuy with the assurance it would work with Oculus) did not have a Display Port. There is no adapter or other workaround for this failing.

My PC system has the Rift S infinite restart loop problem. The fact that (1) the most recent software update made my problem worse, (2) the recent Reddit post by u/ShowbizDonkey Oculus Customer Experience appeared to indicate the Oculus engineering team is baffled by the reported problems and (3) Oculus’s heavy-handed insistence on pushing inadequately tested firmware revisions on users and not giving them the option to roll back to previous working versions are three good reasons for me to return the Rift S to Bestbuy and look at different brands. I spent $700 on upgrades to my computer to beta-test faulty Oculus software for three weeks.

Great VR system. i wish it was wireless but is more powerful than the wireless systems so I guess its a worthwhile compromise

I have the Oculus Quest and Oculus Rift S. The Rift S is my go-to headset and is very comfortable. Highly recommend if you have a powerful PC!

My Nephews had ONLY one thing on there list for Christmas. So we ALL pitched in and they were the happiest campers ever!

This thing seemed like the future and worth the price......for about 3 weeks. I have done absolutely everything right. I updated my drivers. Never stepped on the chords nothing. The tracking sensors went out within a month. So now i cant play any game. Honestly might be the biggest waste of money ive ever had. And theres most likely no way i can return this. When its working it's fine and the games are pretty cool. But apparently the hardware is busted because there are many, many, people like me who have a Vr set that just busts for no discernible reason. How can you sell this in good faith!?!?!?!

It’s very fun to use because of the variety of games it has and it has a lot of potential to turn gaming into something spectacular in the future

If your just starting VR you'll love the Rift S. Easy setup and works great. Very sharp image, you can actually read text nicely. Fun Experience.

Got it as a gift for my husband. He loves it. Only negative is if you get motion sickness easily I wouldn’t recommend it!

Really nice be good quality it fits really good and you have fun while playing it’s for all ages I really had fun with it

The oculus rift s is great, screen is clear remotes are accurate.

Love this model, i broke mine. Buying the quest one today. Hopefully its just as good

Awesome piece of gear. The only downside is that you need a solid gaming PC to get the most out of it.

I bought this for my son after he bought one for his brother for Christmas. He's quite pleased with it, so I am, too!
