The Occulus Rift is exactly what it claims to be. The gameplay on this setup is excellent and seems to be durable.

The headset is great, I have probably 30 hours logged on it, and I could see myself putting hundreds on the device... if the right controller breaking didn't stop me from using it. There are no exterior problems, the controllers stayed in the case every time I'm not using them, but the right controller won't turn on anymore. Pro tip-dont buy the geek squad protection plan for it either. They can't do anything because oculus doesn't stock the replacement controllers. Until they come back in stock GOD KNOWS WHEN, I have a $500 paperweight and $150 in games I can't play anymore. It lasted less than four months. Save yourself the trouble and buy an index.

My son received this headset for Christmas. Best Buy’s website says it’s only compatibility connection required is a USB 3. Absolutely false!!! This device requires a Display Port or mini Display Port connection. Additionally Best Buy employees told me I could use a Display Port to HDMI adapter. This adapter does not exist and cannot exist. I have ZERO confidence in the employees at Best Buy. We ended up getting the HTV Vive and my son is ecstatic. And buyer behavior. The Rift has so many positive reviews because it’s owned by Facebook

Fun! May not be as highly sought out like the VIVE or INDEX, but it gives you the engagement.
