So the standard hmd gives you 2 cameras. But ya really should have three for smooth 360 tracking.

A Must for VR Room Scaling

For $59 you change your experience from a front facing VR Experience to a true 360 VR Experience. And you get Room Scaling which mean you can walk around inside your play area and not lose connection. Highly Recommend if you want the Vivi Experience, but at $150 less. (Includes 3rd Sensor)

    Absolute must for 360° Room-scale

Oculus now supports room-scale VR and is capable with the 2 cameras include with the Rift+Touch. However, to get the maximum coverage and least errors a third camera is required. The latest addition of the Oculus software will detect the third camera and guide you on room set-up. Even though it states USB 2.0 or greater, the supplied extension cable will force any USB 3.0 port down to 2.0 and slow the other ports on that USB hub down. So, it is recommended to keep the headset and two front cameras on USB 3.0 or greater and the third camera on a standard USB 2.0 port.
