I played this game on the original Xbox! I’m so happy they remastered this and brought my childhood back. I just played the first 4 hours like it was nothing! 10 out 10 stars!!! It’s a must get!!

I loved this game when it came out on PS2 & it holds up now that it is on PS4. The upscaling makes the visuals pop. As for the gameplay... it is awesome. The combat, with its swordplay, is frenetic fun. And the puzzles are a frustrating delight. I would like to see the entire franchise re-released on PS4. Onimusha should be appreciated one of the better video game franchises of all time.

An excellent version of the game which greatly reduces the loadtimes, introduces an alternative control scheme to tank mechanics, and makes a classic game look the best it has in years.

Onimusha is a fantastic game, that and the price of this are the primary reasons I am giving it 5 stars. If you never played Onimusha before it is well worth it. Having said that it is a bit disappointing that the only thing done was the HD remaster but the biggest disappointment is this is a remaster of the PS2 versions instead of the version on Xbox called Genma Onimusha which included addition content. While I still enjoyed my time with this I do prefer Genma more as it adds to the story. I do still recommend this as is as it is a fantastic game and hope for a full on remake someday!

For a game that originally came out 18 years ago this holds up surprisingly well. From cleaned up visuals to tighter controls (the old RE tank controls are gone.) this game is just as great now as when it first came out. Everything from soul collecting to power up your weapons to puzzles to boss fights are as fun as ever. And at the $19.99 price point this is a must buy. Hopefully it sells well so Capcom decides to make a new game in the series. And who knows maybe we'll see Dino Crisis get a remaster soon as well...

Onimusha is a great throwback for capcom. Alot remains the same but with remastered graphics. Great story and ganeplay. Love the boss battles.

The same magic I felt when I first played this game I just experienced again. This game just sucks you in and keeps you coming for more. The graphics by todays standards are sub par but are fine by me. The music remains beautiful as it always was and the story draws your attention and keeps it. This is truely one of my favorite games and I hope Capcom brings out others in this underrated series.

I played this game starting on it's initial release back in the ps2 days. It's still a timeless classic. Graphics have been touched well, as well as an old ps2 game can be really. The controls are no longer tank style, unless you want them to be in the options. Definitely recommend playing this game again, or as your first time. Enjoy the resident evil style version of the Samurai.

I had this game back in the day of ps2 and loved it! But, they could have improved on the player control of the character

This is probably my favorite PS2 game and revisiting it was a blast. It was nice to use slightly updated controls and that it has widescreen support. For those that have never played this game, it’s been updated not entirely rebuilt. The cutscenes are very dated and the game does show its age but it’s also a ton of fun. So glad I got to play it once again.

The game is great. The graphics are really good. Its shorter than I remember to complete. Took me about 4 hrs and that's taking my time. The worst part about the game are the camera angles. They never fixed this. So at times you have a enemy attacking you and u cant see him. You to him then another enemy u cant see attacks you. Its frustrating but that's my only complaint. Great game I hope they remake the others

Onimusha on the PS4 is a great revisit to a classic experience. While not a remake, Capcom did a great job remastering the game. The only thing missing is the additional content from Genma: Onimusha. Still a must buy especially at $20.

Omnimusha is a great game that tells a short story. It plays similar to the old Resident Evil games, but instead of zombies you have demons and instead of a gun you have swords! Great game, quick fun. Easy to pick up and put down.

Do you like Resident Evil? Do you also happen to like Samurai’s or feudal Japan era? If yes then you will absolutely love this game. One of favorite games from the PS2 era of gaming is now available during the PS4’s life cycle. However with that being said this isn’t a remake but more of a remaster. The game was touched up to inline with current HD consoles but the game will definitely show its age. Speaking of age this plays like classic Resident Evil as in there are tank controls and fixed camera angles. Now if you’ll enjoy those quirks is entirely up to you but it does show you when this game and era it was made in. This game has its charm and I recommend it to anybody. I had fond memories of this game as I’ve gotten older and it was a pleasure to play through again.

I remember playing through this game on the PS2. I bought the remaster to relive the nostalgia. I highly recommend it. It has cheesy voice acting and dialogue but the game play and story are still top notch.

Onimusha: Warlords was released nearly two decades ago on the PlayStation 2 in 2001 (and later the original Xbox in 2002.) This is a game that received little fan fare and press. This remaster is the same game that came out 20 years ago, which modern graphics and settings. If you missed this title back then, don't miss this title now. Onimusha: Warlords is worth every bit of your time. (I purchased both XBOX One and PS4 copies, and am reusing the review I wrote for the other platform on this.)

I loved this game back when it came out, the only thing I don't get is why they released just this game and not the rest in the series like they did with Devil May Cry.
