After the charge would no longer hold decoded to replace it. Great way to start getting familiar with these kind of toothbrushes. The clean you feel is beyond anything you can get with a regular toothbrush

Only drawback was that it had an usb connection instead of a regular plug. Contacted Sonicare and within 5 days we received an adapter which allowed us to plug it into the wall. Price was also amazing.
