Check your speaker opening before buying, speaker states 4”, but really less than that, more like 3 1/2, had to return because of size

This set works good for a high range of sound but don’t expect any bass at all from them. They distort with the slightest bass sent their way. Works to get the high end out very clear and for the price they are good deal.

Honestly these we're almost a let down for me. They don't seem to carry the continuous rws stated and could def have more mid range bass. They'll do for now I guess

I did not like the the sound, not enough base. This is equivalent to a factory speaker.

Decent speaker, but sounds a bit on the cheap side

Easy to install but they sound flat and cheap. The tiny, light magnets were discouraging when I took them out of the box Not very loud, clear, or punchy. The factory GM Delco speakers had bigger magnets and clearer audio. I got them for $19 on clearance and still regret it.

I guess you get what you pay for. Not a very good speaker. I am surprised normally pioneer are good. I would not buy this again.

Poor mids and trebble; muffled vocals

I picked up a pair of these to replace the original speakers in my 1991 Honda Prelude. Being almost 30 years old, the rubber on the speakers had disintegrated and one of the paper cones was buzzing. When I swapped these in, I was shocked by difference in clarity; significantly lower. I also noticed that even though both sets were 4" drivers, the magnet on the back of this set was much smaller. When listening, these speakers have a very poor high end and recessed mids, focusing mainly on lower frequencies. While bass was an improvement, Vocals or radio talk shows are very difficult to make out, especially over road noise. I do not expect great fidelity out of car audio, and only wanted an oem replacement for worn out parts, but I was severely disappointed by performance of this model. Maybe these could be useful in an array with other speakers, but I do not recommend them as a stand alone solution. I returned these for a Polk pair that had a much more balanced sound.
Hi there, thanks for sharing your detailed feedback. We’re sorry to hear these speakers didn’t meet your expectations, especially as an OEM replacement. We understand how disappointing it is when clarity and balance fall short. We’re glad you found a pair that works better for you, and we appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your experience. We will take your feedback into consideration.

If you are upgrading your speakers do NOT do it with this set. This is an average sounding pair. If you are replacing your STOCK speakers that are blown, then this would work.

There are better speakers out there for the same price or just a little more. Even though this is just a 4" speaker, there's not much clarity to it when turned up.
