The only draw back is you need to buy an Xm receiver part even though its Xm ready. Also the XM functions are not easy to switch between channels rapidly.

Happy with my radio and backup camera

After the camera was installed, it came out by the time we got home, I guess a product malfunction but the people at Best Buy got me another one and was very efficient about getting it put in.

When it comes to using Siri, Bixby, or Google's voice activated stuff, I've had some issues with my Samsung not working as well as an iPhone with Siri does and coming through the car, but overall everything is great.

Great Addition to my Jeep Wrangler

The blue tooth gives you access to phone calls and music. Apple car play works great on it and everything is very user friendly. The only reason that I gave it 4 stars is because, although the blue tooth works great, apple car play maps and itunes only works with it plugged in. I bought it specifically for android and apple car play. It doesn't bother me to plug my phone in to use apple maps or access my itunes but I can see how it would be a deal breaker for some.

I think that his name was Grant, in the Greenville, NC. store. He was polite, pleasant, friendly and very competent. I would highly recommend him to my friends. My experience with this Best Buy store was great, from the guy on the floor who helped me decide on which radio to buy.

Had an 8 year old double din in my previous truck that was honestly a lot smoother than this one. I’ve had a couple connection issues with it not registering my phone. Definitely better than a Dual brand but it’s slightly disappointing to go from a perfectly working stereo to one that has bugs. Overall I would recommend this, aside from the couple of hiccups it works great 95% of the time. Had I not previously owned a pioneer it probably would not have bothered me.

After install I found that the compass for my truck no longer functioned. Also discovered that adding a remote module for CarPlay is not adaptable to this radio. Will always have to have hone connected via a phone.

The DMH-1500NEX support wired Apple CarPlay or wired Android Auto, so you would need to connect to the USB for this feature to work.
I am not sure why the radio would affect the compass. Make sure they used the iDatalink interface module. This will help retain the most factory features.

It looks like this was meant to come with my car. The deck is awesome. I listen to Spotify, YouTube music, and Pandora. Our vacation we used android auto to pull up waze to direct us around the city. It was awesome and super helpful. This took my 2009 Pontiac vibe and made it feel like a car that was quite a few years newer. Great deck.

Great Modern Head Unit

This unit was one of five electronics items I purchased from Best Buy including prepaid installation . The Best Buy installation was pretty fast and included coaching on to use it.
