Good for the price and includes everything you will ever need. Low resolution but you would expect from a $300 carplay unit. Thet would charge you for installation or else your steering controls wont work.

The UI could be more friendly, with the lack of buttons, changing between inputs, setting or features while driving is cumbersome and ultimately, not very safe.

Old truck meets new tech

I put it in my 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe and the speaker quality is so much better. The apple car play is very useful as well. I've always gone with Pioneer stereos because they never disappoint.

Thought it was a Sirius XM receiver but just uses Apple Car Play. Not exactly what I was looking for but didn’t know until after it was installed. Good sound and all but have to keep attaching my phone and had to update my plan to cover the extra streaming that using it entailed, an extra $15 per month.

The DMH-1500NEX is SiriusXM Ready. This means you need to purchase the SXV300 tuner and connect it to the stereo.
You can also do SiriusXM through Apple CarPlay. You install the application and sign up there. When you connect the phone to the stereo for Apple CarPlay, it will appear as a source within CarPlay.
