The rep put me on hold at least 5 times, then when the transaction was complete, she realized that she scheduled pick-up and install 2 weeks apart which I had already told her was not possible because I was out of state until 2 days before the install. THE ENTIRE CALL WAS OVER 2 HRS Once I arrived to pick up the unit the reps at the front were unsure of the procedure then sent me to the check-out line where I only had to show a barcode and the clerk gave me my order. Then I was told to go around the building to the installation area where the installer told me that I never had an appointment, and they were at least a month out for install dates. They also said this stuff happens all the time! I was then referred to a installer at a local company who did a good job, but it cost me an additional $350. Had I known I would have just purchased the equipment from the shop that did the install.

Try replacing your Apple cable. These tend to be the first to go, when you have connection issues.

May need bypass

Android auto works wells, but a bypass needed to be installed. The bypass was for the e-brake. The unit would not let me do anything bc it thought I was "not parked" even though I was. Geek Squad installer suggested the e-brake bypass and now it works like a charm.

I replaced the OEM stereo from my Sienna 2013. We had Best Buy install it. The screen is very difficult to see during the day. It is plug in CarPlay which is really annoying and a hassle (can’t believe stereos still come this way). CarPlay only worked maybe 50% of the time. Bluetooth was also not good. Amazingly, the unit can only store 5-6 phones and when we upgraded to iPhone 16’s, we could not figure out how to remove the old and get the new to work. I found a video on YouTube to reset the unit which I did. But ever since, everytime I used the car, I had to repair the phone to the stereo which is a huge hassle. And the unit would not remember the pairing even if I stopped for 5 minutes. To be clear, I am a pretty tech savvy person - this is a design flaw. I am literally throwing this unit out after 18 months and spending good money on a Sony (hopefully that will work better).
