I wish they had brought the USB cable into the dashboard instead if just putting it into the glove box and closing door on it? I ended up just routing it on the inside of the sadh and on to the carpet

The rep put me on hold at least 5 times, then when the transaction was complete, she realized that she scheduled pick-up and install 2 weeks apart which I had already told her was not possible because I was out of state until 2 days before the install. THE ENTIRE CALL WAS OVER 2 HRS Once I arrived to pick up the unit the reps at the front were unsure of the procedure then sent me to the check-out line where I only had to show a barcode and the clerk gave me my order. Then I was told to go around the building to the installation area where the installer told me that I never had an appointment, and they were at least a month out for install dates. They also said this stuff happens all the time! I was then referred to a installer at a local company who did a good job, but it cost me an additional $350. Had I known I would have just purchased the equipment from the shop that did the install.

It looked like just the box was opened accessories were still in packages and plastic still on screen. Never had installed and am returning because of volume knob. The button is so small and I feel hard to manage while driving for my daughter.

PIONEER DMH-1500NEX with CarPlay

I also opted for steering wheel controls.This unit replaced existing OEM NAV unit and radio which failed. It was more cost effective to replace the OEM equipment than repair it .

This device is not wireless so it doesn’t automatically connect to your phone & pull up text messages & maps. It won’t do that until you plug it in to a cord that the installer left loosely hanging out. He also disconnected the controls on the steering wheel so now they’re useless. Never told us and don’t offer any other options. This was a wasted purchase & installation experience was Very unsatisfactory.

Posted .I am sorry to hear you are not happy with the DMH-1500NEX.
You are correct, it does not support Wireless Android Auto or Wireless Apple CarPlay.
For the steering wheel controls, you would need an interface adapter to retain the factory controls. Your local Best Buy should have these available and explain how they will help.
If needed, contact Best Buy at 888-237-8289. They will try to assist you with the details.
Disappointed, don’t believe free installation

All the parts needed to install per Best Buy installation was going to be $575. Don’t advertise free installation and make people pay more than the cost of the item. This was returned. Very disappointed in Best Buy.
