      You want to use the provided USB extension cable. In most cases, the factory USB port will not work for Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

    Awesome receiver. Especially when you have your apple or android phone sync to it.. you don’t have to spend so much money on a receiver with gps. Once you sync your iPhone to it, you can access google maps. Strongly recommend receiver.

    I bought an open box so it could be a 5 star. Have noticed some glitches. Just don't know at this point. Great sound. Does better than my factory unit w/ calls.

    I had this unit for a year and was generally very unhappy, even really annoyed by it. I replaced the OEM stereo from my Sienna 2013. We had Best Buy install it. The screen is very difficult to see during the day. It is plug in CarPlay which is really annoying and a hassle (can’t believe stereos still come this way). CarPlay only worked maybe 50% of the time. Bluetooth was also not good. Amazingly, the unit can only store 5-6 phones and when we upgraded to iPhone 16’s, we could not figure out how to remove the old and get the new to work. I found a video on YouTube to reset the unit which I did. But ever since, everytime I used the car, I had to repair the phone to the stereo which is a huge hassle. And the unit would not remember the pairing even if I stopped for 5 minutes. To be clear, I am a pretty tech savvy person - this is a design flaw. I am literally throwing this unit out after 18 months and spending good money on a Sony (hopefully that will work better).

    This device didn't fit my car. Best buy was more then happy to switch with another model no problem.

    Stereo buttons stopped working after just 6 months. When we tried to exchange it, Best Buy says they only accept returns within 30 days and to contact the manufacturer for replacement since it comes with a 1 year manufacturer warranty. When speaking to Pioneer, they want us to send it in (us pay for shipping) and expect at least a 3 week turn around time. They refuse to provide us with a replacement, a shipping label, etc., and says we have to go almost an entire month without a radio, GPS, etc while it gets repaired. Stay away from this product.

    Two issues noted...when plugged in...it keeps going on and off. Also, bluetooth connection fails automatically when switched on.
