Although the Android auto isn't wireless I rather have it plugged in. Keeps me from using my phone while I drive

Heat should not be an issue with the unit. The operating temperature goes up to 140 degrees.
Please contact our Product Support at 1-800-421-1404, select option 1.
They will provide troubleshooting assistance.

I've had it installed for 1 month and it does the job. I wish there was a way to relocate the USB plug more easier than having to take it apart again.

Had to use alternate method to make something work properly. It This might not be due to the Pioneer car stereo, but the actual wiring of the Subaru Legacy? Something wasn't compatible.
