I dislike the touch screen i woukd prefer a solid glass. 1 usb port… had to add 1 to 3 splitter cable to retain factory usb ports, i added a usb port as well. If you want wireless carplay purchase icarlinkit 2.0, it works flawlessly. I datalint maestro is a nightmare. Good luck lol. Sound it produced is good mated to my kta 450. Remove starlink if installing in a wrx or sti, there is a moduke sold online

Biggest reason why I bought this Pioneer DMH-1500, apple car play compatible media player was my previous player, a Pioneer AVH-1330NEX went haywire on me. It would turn on/off by itself and sometimes would not turn on at all. Bought in 2018 and required a geek squad warranty repair already that was dropped off at my local Best Buy on 14Oct20, junked out, then sent to repair center, then they decided and indicated that it was being fixed and sent back to local BB but to this day, 17Nov20, they still don't know where it’s at?! Even though I have to pay it out of my own pocket, everything that was wrong with the AVH1330 is better on the DMH1500 besides the HD Radio that the 1500 don’t have. Album display is accurate and not one song behind on whats playing, selectable on/off display on the backup assist camera, bottom placed buttons, updated and additional compatible apps for the iPhone and a wider, 7” screen but the rest is pretty much the same. Definitely prefer the DMH1500 over the 1330. Only the hassle of dealing with the frustration and waiting for more than a month, without music and back up camera on my truck, pretty much sums up my experience with the “useless” Geek Squad extended warranty which is the only negative downside to this radio repair/replacement ordeal.

Great quality. Very user friendly and compatible with all of my devices. Installation was easy and quick and it's very easy to connect to my phone. The equalizer feature definitely enhances the sound

This stereo unit has served me well so far. It's wired-only and does charge the phone while running CarPlay or Android Auto. Great feature: It has the ability to pair a phone over Bluetooth for audio while another phone is connected with the cable. An iPhone was playing music over Bluetooth while the Samsung phone was connected with the USB-C cable running Android Auto and Waze on the screen. Sound for both was shared so you could hear the music and directions without having to disconnect either phone.

Improved my stock speaker surround sound. Great screen quality, especially for the price, Immediately and accurately responds to your finger touch. Love the compatibility with my steering wheel controls & factory backup camera. I didn’t think I needed AppleCar Play, but don’t buy a head unit without it, so awesome for smartphone navigation and streaming apps!

I bought this on an open box excellent deal for my 2007 Ford Escape and I had to shave away some of the material in the car to make it fit but it was a great upgrade and after almost 2 years no real problems to complain about. Android auto works good on it and so does the regular radio features. Honestly I thought the original radio sounded pretty good but when I plugged this bad boy in it's like my speakers were on steroids, everything sounds better and lower volumes are much louder and clearer than they were before. I liked that I was able to change the color of the lights to match the green glow of the dash panel and buttons in the car as well. My only complaint is I wish it still had the volume dial instead of buttons but I understand it contributes to the sleek design and I've adjusted to it. I also bought a pioneer back up camera to go with it but I will leave a separate review for that product. All in all great product.

The Pioneer 7" Apple CarPlay Radio looks great in my car. I really like the way it works with my iPhone. The Bluetooth works perfect, and I never have trouble connecting. The Screen is big and easy to see. This radio is easy to navigate and sounds great in my car. I highly recommend this radio.

This radio was a replacement for a Pioneer radio that was installed in my truck. Everything integrated well except for my Pioneer aftermarket backup camera. Because this radio uses collision avoidance, which my other radio didn't have, it occasionally beeped when nothing was around. I solved this by disconnecting the external speaker. I now have great stereo sound with good stereo separation from my truck's speakers. I am very pleased with my purchase.

This was a Christmas gift for my teenager and overall I am pleased with it…sound quality and features are what you would expect from a Pioneer head unit. The only bummer is that after I finished up the install in a 2016 Honda HR-V, I learned that even with the Maestro setup you can’t maintain the Lanewatch camera functionality. The camera still works and is viewable manually on the front camera input but does not trigger with activation of the turn signal. That’s on me, though…iDatalink has that documented on their website and I missed it. Overall, it’s a great head unit and my daughter is excited to now have Apple CarPlay and Spotify integration.

Replaced my stock radio with this double din radio and so far it has worked great. The sound comes through crystal clear and the easy to find equalizer options make it a breeze to adjust the audio. I also use the bluetooth function a lot for talking on my phone, using the included mic, and people say I sound very clear. The apple carplay through USB works well to. I do like that the radio allows you to adjust the guidance audio as a separate adjustment. Overall a great purchase for a double din radio in this price range.

Installed in my wife’s 2008 Toyota tundra Installed in 45 minutes make sure you order a wire harness adapter for whatever vehicle you’re going to put it in makes installation really fast. You need to splice all the wires together, but pioneer gives really detailed instructions and was real easy solder or Crimp it together either way is good .I’ve been buying pioneer since I was a teenager and always had great performance even without an Amplifier this particular radio, really modernized the truck and added a back up Camera since to the stereo it was real easy to install as Well looks as good as my 2024(ps) works with Apple or android

I bought two of these and one was defective out of the box. There were no more at best buy so they upgraded me to the one that was $50 more. I'm surprised that for $350 you don't even get HD Radio. My wife has this in her car she uses the Android Auto, or whatever it's called. She cannot get the maps to work and sync. Side from that, it's easy to use and sounds good and since she uses I heart radio, I suppose the HD Radio isn't too necessary. She's happy with it. But my wife is genuinely happy with everything in life.

Stereo works good. Apple Carplay and android auto lets you display maps and use other music apps form your phone and Make calls handsfree. Bluetooth for audio and it has video inputs for when not driving. Backup camera feature is an added plus. Stereo has built-in equalizer and pre amp output for amplifier. Themes and colors adjustable to match you dash lights is nice. After Bluetoothed to an i phone the phone had directions to find your car from the phones location in maps

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I was looking for an inexpensive radio to replace the broken stock unit in my 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan, and the DMH-1500NEX (SKU: 6401086) really rocks! Installation was straightforward, and the sound quality is much better than the original. It has all the features I need, looks great in the dash, and works perfectly. I would definitely recommend this stereo to anyone looking for a quality upgrade without breaking the bank!

Overall great receiver if you want to modernize an aging stereo. I have an OEM amplifier and do have the “pop” sound at initialization. But that’s the only drawback of not having the proper RCA wiring connected. The deck really does kick up my stock speakers up and I can now enjoy MY music while commuting/ cruising instead of bearing with static or radio stations. If I had to choose a deck for a RestoMod/ custom stereo system, I would STILL choose this one. Great value, all buttons/ functions react fast, and the colors/ RGB can be customized to match your style/ mood/ interior.

This is a great stereo! I love it! It has great sound and CarPlay - which I love. And it’s a true double din size so it fits perfectly in my 2002 Mustang GT! Like it was factory installed!

Great radio for the price! Easy to use & I now have apple CarPlay in my car that had a tape deck. I highly recommend this radio for anyone who looking to upgrade without having to spend too much money.

I don't have much to compare it to, but the Pioneer works and sounds every bit as well as expected. It's easy to Use/Navigate and sounds amazing. It takes a little while to boot up. Originally, I ordered an Alpine ILX-W650 but it wasn't available when it was time to install, but this Pioneer meets all my expectations. Only problem is that it's hard to read the display in the convertible with the top down under direct sunlight... I'm not sure anything could do better.

Easy to install and a major upgrade from my factory head unit. I also appreciate the simplicity in the design and that it looks as though it belongs in my car. Apple CarPlay is a major convenience. I’ll never look back. If you’re looking for a solid upgrade to an old factory unit and this unit is compatible with your vehicle I think it’s worth its weight in gold!
