We installed this into a 2009 SUV that had a top of the line factory stereo and now it feels like a new car! Not only is the sound quality better, the features are next-level. Car play with our phones is terrific; your phone is the brains of the stereo so maps, music, voice assistance, text by voice, calls, etc., are all hands free and viewable on the big screen.

I’ve only had this installed for a couple of days. The features and sound are excellent. I really looked forward to the Apple CarPlay feature, and it works great! The Bluetooth and HD Radio also works perfectly. I really like the big 7-inch screen. So far, I don’t have one negative thing to say.

I returned another brand of head unit due to issues with audio. Was able to connect this Pioneer unit up and it worked perfectly with our vehicle. CarPlay is phenomenal, and I like that Android Auto is a feature should I switch to Android down the road. Highly recommended - you can’t beat the price for such a good unit and nice size screen. The only slight downside is it can be a little slow sometimes (3-4 seconds at most) to turn on the radio, etc. There is a firmware update available I believe will address the issue, I just haven’t had time to update it.

Pioneer 7" Android Auto/Apple car play is a great radio. Use it to play my iPod, Bluetooth spotify thru my cell phone. Purchase a back up camera for my full size pick up truck, no more blind spot. So many features!

Upgrade for previous Android based Pioneer stereo. Bigger screen and more features. Sound is better too particularly with sub. HD radio is also plus. Install was done by Rayford, the most professional installer I've met.

Purchased this so I could use android auto. It works great. The touch screen is a lot more responsive than older models and the quality is a lot better too. Using Google assistant is really easy with this also

This device is absolutely fantastic. I bought it with installation at Best buy and also purchased the Metra double din "car kit" and the steering wheel module for my Honda Accord 2012. Everything looks terrific. The display is instantly responsive and works seamlessly with both carplay and Android auto (I have both iPhone and Android work/personal). The audio is crystal clear and definitely is an upgrade to what the stock Honda radio output. Lastly, my largest surprise was how awesome the Bluetooth capability worked. I was able to sync both my phone's and it automatically connects and plays music where I left off. I can toggle to each phone on the bottom of the screen depending on if I need to connect to work or personal contacts. Great buy, no hesitation here.

Apple car play is everything I hoped and then some. The big screen, bluetooth, enhanced sound, nav/audio integration and endless configuration options a re a revelation

So the radio was great as well as the backup camera. BestBuy site said free install. I got to the install place and the free part only covers the install of the actual unit not the wiring. I was like ok so how much is the install with the wiring? 500.00 dollars. I returned the radio and bought it somewhere else and had it installed by a private garage. Great sound and graphics.

This Pioneer was a perfect replacement for my aging factory stereo. This was installed in a 2012 Silverado due to my need for a better way to use bluetooth audio. The Android Auto was a very nice addition, as well. There are tons of settings to help get the right sound from your speakers, and I use Android Auto every day on my drive to/from home and work. The only issue is around the phone calls when in Android Auto mode. It sometimes doesn't play back the sound, and I have hang up and try the call again; sometimes even unplugging and plugging back in the USB cable. I still have to try upgrading the firmware, as it is 1 release behind, but I'm not sure that will do it. Not even sure it's Pioneer's problem to address. Other than the one complaint, this stereo is exactly what I was looking for, and I would definitely not hesitate to recommend it!

It’s working great , car play with iPhone is so easy, & now I can ask SIRI to take me home or at work, no need to keep typing my destination, easy to use Spotify too. Clear big letters and big screen makes navigation easy to drive. Sound quality is well balanced, but you can set your preferences with inbuilt equalizer two different set of frequencies in memory of your choice. Microphone is good for call quality. While using Spotify and maps , phone also gets power so not to worry for power drain. It’s betting get it installed by geek squad.

This radio was a great addition to my 2011 Honda Odyssey. I love my van and plan to keep it for many years to come but longed for the Apple CarPlay functionality available in newer models. With this stereo I get to keep the van I love and get the additional features I wanted! Apple CarPlay is so easy to use and works very well. Even without using CarPlay this radio easily works with my phone to play music and make calls. Also, get back up camera if your car has one or you have one added. Mine is aftermarket and still works great! Highly recommend!!

I have had owned several Kenwood double DINs over the years. This is the first I decided to not go with Kenwood as it was for my second vehicle so I did not want to spend a large amount for a stereo. This Pioneer deck was very well priced and has alot of great features. This was my first one with Apple CarPlay and if you're curious/interested in it. It is well worth it, especially if you use Spotify, Waze, etc. If you're looking for a well priced double din with lots of great features, you've found it.

I have a 2014 Chevy Tahoe and had the stock radio that came with it. It didnt have many features, it was basically a radio with XM and I could use an aux plug for my iPhone to listen to music. This radio gives me the Bluetooth capability the other one did not. It has a sharp 7 inch screen, which after I purchased and installed a screen guard, reduced the glare from the sun around 80%. Maybe I an still in the honeymoon phase with the new radio, but it is such a huge improvement over my old stock Chevy radio that I am still blown away with all of its technology. The only con so far has been trying to get a DVD to read and play, we tried once and were unsuccessful, we may have been doing something wrong, judgement is still out on the radio as a DVD player.

I did a TON of research before selecting this unit and I am glad I went with it. It improved the sound even though we didn't upgrade the speakers and we lost our factory-installed subwoofer because our old factory-unit had the amp and we decided to not put in a new amp. Apple CarPlay seems to work great, although it seems to be a bit clunky when you have two iPhones connected via bluetooth and one hardwired for Apple CarPlay but I'm sure we will get that resolved once we have used it a bit more.

Just had this installed in my son's car. The radio and features are really good I love the Apple car play. The complete install was pricy. I bought the radio because it was a mid-range one that had all the features we were looking for$500,00 I thought ok that will work than I was told if I wanted to have it mounted it would cost another $500.00 for wire harness, modules and modification kit to work in my son's car. And while the radio is XM ready I would have to pay another $100.00 to make that work if my son had a subscription. So this was a great present for my son and since I never installed a different radio in my cars befor the price took me for a bit of a suprise.

I had been looking to upgrade my stereo in my truck so I could have bluetooth capabilities and hands free phone calls. The microphone is great and everyone says I sound clear on phone calls. The stereo itself sounds great! I was surprised with factory speakers that I cannot turn it up all the way. Still learning all the ins and outs the stereo. for a while I was frustrated that I couldn't see the screen, but after pushing buttons here and there I found the brightness level. It helps tremendously and solved the problem. I would buy this stereo again.
